France's First Lady Wearing Jeans And A Nice Top To A Fashion Show Is A Huge Mood

    THIS is French BDE.

We are gathered here today to give thanks to France's first lady Brigitte Macron.

Here she is blowing kisses at the White House.

Here she is looking fly AF in Louis Vuitton threads (and accessories AND bag) with her husband Emmanuel.

The two fell in love in 1994. He was 16 (going on 17). She was 41 and his drama teacher. So yeah, things got messy for a while ...but here we are.

This week she levelled-up her IDAGF vibe by wearing jeans and a nice top to the Giambattista Valli haute couture fashion show in Paris.

I repeat, here is an actual photo of her literally attending the fanciest event on the international fashion calendar.

The first lady sat front row at this show looking like she's just come from brunch at The Coffee Club with your aunt Linda.

Her casual attire blows my mind as couture week is a series of fashion shows staged by brands like Christian Dior, Givenchy, Chanel and Vetements that only press, celebrities and a very select group of customers attend.

And by "customers" I mean—to borrow a phrase from Richard Gere in Pretty Woman—those who spend "an obscene amount of money" to buy ~versatile~ looks like this:

Those who score an invite to these exclusive shows usually get dressed 👏 the 👏 fuck 👏up.

While the fashion week dress code is open to interpretation, the first lady's "Do you like my boots? They're from Kmart" take is one I wish to fully endorse and adopt.

This is just the latest in a series of memorable "smart casual" moments the 63-year-old first lady has created since her husband became president last year. Here are her other greatest hits. Like this:

And this from her first fashion magazine cover story:

    And of course, this:

But her attending a fancy work thing in jeans is a great, big mood.

    High fives all round.
