Sorry, But Longclaw Is Not Alive On "Game Of Thrones"

    Put the tinfoil away, folks.

One of the best parts of the Game of Thrones fandom is the theories. The show and books are so rich in detail, and often fans come up with compelling, elaborate theories. Sometimes they turn out to be right.

    When they FINALLY confirmed R+L= J... #ThronesYall

Other times... well, let's just say Game of Thrones fans really know how to reach.

After Season 7, Episode 6, a lot of people spotted something funny about the eye on Longclaw, Jon's sword, when Jon emerges from the water after the wight battle.

Longclaw opened its eyes when Jon got out of the water. #GameOfThones

Yep, many thought Longclaw's eye "opens".

Dude Longclaw is totally alive. There's no way this eye opening was an accident. #GameOfThrones

Which spawned theories that the sword might be alive, and connected to Jon.

There were even theories that Bran might be warging into it. Um...

Sorry if you're a fan of this theory, but the director of Episode 6, Alan Taylor, has officially called bullshit on it.

So there you have it. Whether it's water or frost or some kind of reflection – Longclaw is most definitely not alive.

    OR IS IT?!
