From the moment Ned Stark lost his head in Season 1, Episode 9 of Game of Thrones, things went from bad to worse for the Starks. HBO The further apart their pack got, the more terrible things happened to them. But around Season 6, this began to change, as the Starks came back together and fought and defeated their enemies. It was one of the highlights of the show. Even still, for those Stark fans who weren't expecting any kind of happy ending, it might come as a surprise that no more Starks died during the run of the show – and in fact, they all ended up kind of thriving (except maybe Jon). Bran Stark is King of the Six Kingdoms and Sansa is Queen in the North. It does raise the question of why the other kingdoms wouldn't request independence – especially the Iron Islands and Dorne – and also makes Tyrion's proclamation that they need to move away from dynastic power ring hollow. Especially when Jon is basically King Beyond the Wall in all but name, and Arya is off to conquer, sorry I mean explore, west of Westeros. As someone who has been a Stark stan from day one, I have very mixed feelings about the whole thing. Still, it's hard not to be relieved Bran, Sansa, Arya and Jon all survived... 1. A lot of people are celebrating the ~happy~ ending of House Stark. starkofthrones.tumblr.com 2. platinumpratt.tumblr.com 3. Cameron Grant @coolcam101 I’m just glad the Starks took the Throne.
