Here Are All The Interesting Details In "The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance"

Could Brea actually be Kira's mother?

    1. The title cards get darker with each episode – representing the crystal itself.

    2. Deet sees a bunch of things in her vision in Episode 1, including the Darkening spreading – and herself absorbing it, as she does at the end of the season.

    3. Her vision in Episode 8 is even more interesting, as it's footage we haven't seen yet within the show – including Deet sitting on the Skeksis throne, apparently completely consumed by the Darkening.

    4. She also sees a Gelfling that looks a lot like Brea running from the Garthim with a baby in her arms.

This is reminiscent of Kira's origin story from the movie – could Brea actually be Kira's mother?

    5. Deet also sees Rian healing the crystal with the shard in a similar way to how Jen actually does it in the movie – which raises so many questions.

    6. Soeaking of Rian's connection to Jen – in Episode 2, he says the same thing to Gurjin that Jen says to Kira in the movie.

    7. Most of the episode titles of Age of Resistance are quotes from the original movie. For example, the Episode 1 title "End. Begin. All the Same." is a reference to what Aughra says about the great conjunction in the movie.

Onica says something similar when talking to Brea about the symbol she saw in Episode 2.

    8. The way the Chamberlain tries to manipulate Rian by convincing him they're "friends" is similar to the way he tries to ingratiate himself with Jen and Kira.

    9. He also can't seem to escape those hand injuries.

    10. Although the patterns are slightly different, the shape of the throne the Maudra of the Stonewood clan sits on is the same as the one Kira sits on in the movie. It could indicate that the ruins Jen and Kira visit are those of the Stone in the Wood.

    11. On a related note, the symbol Jen wears on his clothes in the movie looks like that of the Stonewood clan.

    12. Meanwhile, the symbol we see on Kira's clothes kind of looks like the one associated with the Vapra clan.

    13. Gobbles, which kill Rian's father Ordon, are actually seen in the movie, although nobody falls victim to them in that thankfully.

    14. Aughra draws the same pattern in the series that we see the Mystics drawing in the movie.

    15. In Episode 9, the Emperor proudly insists "I will never be dust" but of course that's exactly how his story ends in the movie.

    16. Finally, in Episode 10, Rian sees an illustration Brea has done that is seemingly of him and Deet – but it is also very reminiscent of Jen and Kira.
