Snack Like A Celebrity: 9 Healthy Snacks Celebs Swear By

If you’ve ever wondered what celebrities eat to stay in shape, you’ll be surprised to know most of them keep it simple, especially when it comes to snacking.

Celebrities know that snacking smart is an easy way to curb cravings, boost energy levels, and maintain a healthy weight, so they make sure to pack healthy snacks wherever they go.

Luckily, you don’t need to shell out hundreds of dollars in trendy health foods to snack like a celeb (or look like one). Most stars love to snack on whole foods like fruits, veggies, and nuts – not obscure fancy products only the rich and famous can afford.

If you need food and snacking inspo, take a look at the healthy bites celebrities go for to stay on top of their game:

    1. Alicia Silverstone: Walnuts and raisins

Silverstone shared her favorite on-the-go snacks on her blog, where she gushes over walnuts and raisins.

I get these insanely delicious walnuts from my local farmers’ market. They’re fresh and organic – so much better than store bought walnuts. I get them from same vendor who sells organic, non-sulfur raisins. The combo is so delicious for a quick snack,” she wrote.

    2. Angelina Jolie: Crickets!

When you think of a crunchy snack, your mind probably goes to chips, but to Angelina and her children, fried crickets are the clear favorite: “They can eat a bag of crickets like a bag of chips," she said in a recent BBC interview. She also snacks on other unconventional foods, like fried tarantulas and scorpions.

It may sound strange, but her snacking habits aren’t unique. Crickets are a delicacy in countries like Vietnam and Cambodia, where they are consumed for their protein and beneficial effects over cholesterol.

    3. Cameron Diaz: Veggie stir fry

When she wants a snack, the actress and wellness advocate reaches for veggies: “Even if I'm going to be out all day, I'll pack a veggie stir-fry from the morning in a to-go container with a silverware set,” she said in an interview with Bon Appétit.

    4. Carrie Underwood: English muffin with peanut butter

The singer and actress doesn’t snack often, but when she does, she picks an English muffin with peanut butter, according to her food diary.

    5. Chris Pratt: Cacao baobab banana chia shake

Chrissy Teigen loves snacking on spicy pickled peppers, according to an interview with Delish.

They're my go-to. Pickled green hot peppers, deli-style pickled jalapeños, pepperoncinis. I put them in certain dishes, like tuna casserole, when I want that crunchy bite of heat, but I mainly just munch on them,” she said.

    7. Emma Stone: Brussels sprouts and french fries

In an interview with Vogue, Emma revealed her favorite foods are Brussels sprouts and french fries, although “not necessarily at the same time,” she clarified.

    8. Emma Watson: Egg tortilla

Emma told Marie Claire that she makes a fantastic egg tortilla. “It's my special thing. I make guacamole, salsa, and scrambled eggs, and then I cook the tortilla. It's pretty simple, really, but yummy,” Watson said.

    9. Gisele Bundchen: Fruit leather

The supermodel revealed to Food & Wine that she loves making fruit leather from scratch with her son, Benjamin.

Benjamin and I make his school snack together—fruit leather in our dehydrator. You can use any fruit, but I always use banana as the base because it has great texture and sweetness,” she said.
