I'm gonna cut right to the chase here. Imagine ordering an $18 serve of avocado on toast for breakfast...and being greeted with this.
$18???? EIGHTEEN??? DOLLARS??? For an avocado still in its shell, a rectangle of feta that wouldn't even cover all the toast and a line of salt which is probably impossible to even pick up. And not even an egg????!!! Or a real plate????
AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, I then found out that tiny hunk of feta cost $4.50.
I think it's time for these trendy cafes to just STOP. We've put up with your uncomfortable seating arrangements...
...your confusing coffee presentation...
...your creative plating...
...and your goddamn avocado lattes.
Just stop fucking around with this ~deconstructed food~. If we wanted to assemble our own breakfasts, we could just stay home and make the same thing for like three bucks.
Maybe I'm getting old. Maybe peeling and mashing your avo is all about the experience.
