Thought that I could pull off a pixie cut at 10 years old, but my hair was too thick and I ended up with a *very attractive* mushroom cut for about two years. I was so traumatized that I grew out my hair for the next seven years....and still rock long hair today!

My copies of Meg Cabot’s The Princess Diaries series are well loved and it shows! Mia Thermopolis is a timeless character. Her awkward teenage moments, sense of humor, and crush on an older guy are relatable. At 14, I was a Mia and I probably still am at 30!
Jan’s words of encouragement to Pam on The Office created the best piece of advice I’ve heard. I always think about that when I make excuses for not taking action. Trying to be a Jan (who always grabs life by the horns) is not a bad thing!
