I like picture books, and cold green tea, and butterflies and really good toothpaste. I like ice cream, and stories, and sandcastles and fireworks. I like people who like me too, except I can't always tell. I like the quiet (sometimes), and breaking it (most of the time), and big trees and new notebooks. I like narcissus, and playing cards, and berries and dandelion puffs. I like to climb things, to sit up high and free and look down and hope I don't fall. I like daisies and tangerines and apples in the fall. I like fireplaces, and huge windows, and sleeping in late and the sweet cleanness of peppermint. I like interesting words, like 'defenestration', 'glee', and 'oatmeal'. I like games of all kinds, and puzzles, and secret locations and those really excellent quotes that I can never remember. I like little knickknacks and music and fresh breezes that rustle leaves and float hair. I like snow like feathers and snow like rage, and soft sunshine and interesting gizmos. I like pockets, and Pokemon, and stuffed animals and classical jazz piano and loud thrashing screamo and cool, mellow alternative and hypnotic trancedanceelectrotechno. I like metaphors and similes and allusions and analogies, allegories and alliterations and palindromes and nonsense rhymes, all the intricacies of the English language. I like daydreaming and nightdreaming about important, unknowable things. I like the sky, and everything it lets drift free between its fingertips. I like a little Schadenfreude every so often. I like special effects-pens and quality pens, gel pens and Mont Blancs and Pelikans. I like felines, and hedgehogs, and foxes and puffins. I like baby penguins and pandas and other fuzzy, roly-poly things. I like to take things. I like to give things. I like to take things apart. I like to wander and to explore, if I have the time. I like to learn. I like to laugh. I like candy, and Starbucks Caramel Dulce Doubleshots, and the Latin language. I like me.
