    1. A handy checklist because you often leave urgent tasks for the last possible second and you're tired of dealing with the consequences.

    Amazon

Promising review: "These are perfect for me to jot down to-do items as I think of them. Digital to-do lists are great, but they're easy to minimize or get hidden behind other windows I have open. I keep a pad of the Action Items! on my desk, kinda in my way, so the list is always present and I can add or check things off as I go. And, yes, I am one of those people who might possibly write down something I accomplished just so I could cross it off the list." —BWall

Get it from Amazon for $7.50 (available in 15 styles).

    2. This makeup removing towel so you can take off your foundation, blush, eyeliner, and all with just water and a few wipes — as annoying as it can be to remove all your makeup after a long day, you've noticed your skin feeling particularly gunky lately and not going to bed with a clean face could be the reason why.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I was skeptical of these, but now I'm pretty sure they're what Mulan's outfit was made of when she wiped her makeup off on her sleeve in the movie. Even totally dry they're pretty impressive about taking all of my makeup (including waterproof eyeliner and mascara) in a couple of swipes. I like to use a little micellar water to make my skin feel a little cleaner. It's nice not to burn through so many cotton pads." —RachelM

Get a pack of three from Amazon for $3.99 (also available as a pack of five).

    3. A pack of oral rinses to boost the effects of brushing your teeth by neutralizing sulfur-producing bacteria (ick) that causes bad breath.

    Amazon

Promising review: "If I could give six stars, I would! I've learned to live with my husband's halitosis for decades. The only thing that has ever worked in the past was a prescription mouthwash prescribed by his dentist. Unfortunately, it also causes teeth staining so my husband discontinued using it. Seriously, this stuff is a miracle! After one use, my husband's breath was fresh, no after-odor." —SDCA

Get them from Amazon for $14.44.

    4. These acupressure rings to roll up and down your weary fingers since you've been noticing some pain from all the typing you do all day at work and it's kind of creeping to that point where it's all you can think about.

    Amazon

Promising review: "These little guys made a believer out of me. I struggle with inflammation in my fingers and wrists due to being on the computer so much; I was having a lot of problems with my thumbs especially. My husband bought these for me and I was pretty skeptical at first, but they work. I use them almost every evening for 10–15 minutes and I have to admit I'm not having near the pain in my hands that I used to." —Diane L.

Get a pack of five from Amazon for $9.99.

    5. A durable, non-slip yoga mat, which works extra hard to cushion your joints while you use it, so you can kickstart the workout routine you've been meaning to dive into but kept putting off because the gym is a little too far out of your way. Now you can just reach your health goals from the comfort of your home!

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I'm the type of person who reads a lot of reviews and agonizes over every purchase. This mat is as nice as a brand-name yoga mat I received as a gift many years ago, and it's just like the mats at my yoga center. It does not slip and has a nice grip to it. I have absolutely no complaints and am quite happy with it. Plus, it's a bit thicker than regular mats, which helps my aging body a lot on wood floors. It lies completely flat on the floor and the color is pretty and much like what my monitor depicted. Go ahead and buy it! :)" —Valiant

Get it from Amazon for $21.99 (available in 40 patterns).

    6. This tube of My Skin Mentor Dr. G Brightening Peeling Gel to help you visibly slough off rough, dead skin cells and not only brighten up your face, but also your day.

    amazon.com

It's actually gentle enough for sensitive skin, and it's packed with calming ingredients like honey, black willow, and aloe.

Promising review: "Good heavens, this stuff is amazing! I tried it for the first time last night on my dull, wintery skin and I could not look away from all the dead skin being lifted off my face. Every single dry and dull patch gone, and even my roughest spots felt like baby-soft skin! My over-50 enlarged pores were immediately reduced and hardly noticeable — they have not looked this good since my thirties! And that's after one use. Bonus for sensitive skin — no sensitivity, tingling, or redness during or after. Sign me up for the gallon size!!" —Paula

Get it from Amazon for $11.60.

    7. A coloring book because you hadn't realized how stressed you really were until you began the soothing practice of coloring. The patterns are actually designed by a neuroscientist to help you focus your brain, promote creativity, and ultimately improve your mood.

    Amazon

You can also buy a pack of colored pencils separately.

Promising review: "I gave this as a gift to my mom but then she bought one for me. I thought it was stupid at first BUT then I tried it. I colored at night before bed and it was very relaxing, cleared my mind, and I was able to fall asleep faster! I highly recommend for anyone with anxiety, anyone that doesn't fall asleep easily, or just for fun." —Jacqueline S.

Get it from Amazon for $7.81.

    8. This compact essential oil diffuser you can use to make your den or bedroom feel more relaxing despite a long, stressful day. I'm personally a fan of using diffusers with a lavender or citrus scent to help me focus on work.

    Amazon

It works with 100% essential oils, runs quietly for up to six hours, and has two mist settings. It auto-shutoff when the water runs out, so you don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it on through the night. You can purchase a pack of essential oils separately.

Promising review: "This is a fantastic diffuser! It holds more water than the cheaper model I previously had. That one suddenly quit working after about a year and I purchased this one. It’s small enough to not take up a lot of room on your nightstand or wherever you put it. I sit mine on a coaster just in case there is a leak but you really don’t need it. I love the soft colors it changes to but you can also click the button twice to remain on your favorite. The output is amazing! You can hardly hear this little guy. This one is perfect for anyone, including kid’s rooms. I love it!" —Welch

Get it from Amazon for $18.99+ (available in two colors).

    9. A bottle of melatonin sleep gummies to help you keep the tossing and turning at a minimum and actually NOT struggle to fall asleep once. You just might finally be able to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I've tried other sleep products like the sleep drinks and other gummies but I keep coming back for these! They've worked the best out of any of the others I've tried! I fall asleep fast and stay asleep for the whole night. I also wake up feeling great! No hangover feeling at all!" —Jaime Arnold

Get a bottle of 50 gummies from Amazon for $11.89 (also available as a bottle of 60 and 70 gummies).

    10. This contoured memory foam sleep mask because unlike with other sleep masks, you'll actually be able to feel like you're sleeping in a pitch-black room without an eye mask's pressure weighing on your eyeballs.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I LOVE THIS!!!! I have a hard time sleeping at night and have anxiety. The pressure around my face from adjusting it tight is so comforting to me. I like that it's adjustable. It's also completely blackout. I have a big nose bridge bump, and a lot of the masks don't keep the light out because it goes over the nose. This is great because it goes around it. It's great for naps, and when your husband wants to watch TV and you get easily annoyed at the TV light." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in five colors).

    11. A set of dumbbells that might actually inspire you to start incorporating weights into your fitness routine without the intimidation of giant, bulky machines with a million parts.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I've recently started working out at home since I can't do much walking outdoors here in Wisconsin during the winter. Rather than getting a gym membership, I decided to invest in some workout equipment. I've really gotten interested in using Jillian Michaels' workout videos and the one I use most of the time, Jillian Michaels — 30 Day Shred, requires hand weights. I've owned these weights for only a couple weeks and I'm very happy with them! I've used them a number of times with my video and they work great. I feel the price is good for the quality and I will look at ordering others in the future as I get stronger! If you are looking for some hand weights, I recommend buying these!" —Kristin B.

Get a set of two from Amazon for $8.49+ (available in 1–20 pounds or as a set of three different weights with a stand).

    12. Or these exercise cards because part of what makes going to the gym so daunting is not even knowing what workouts you'll be doing — the handy illustrations on these cards walk you through unfamiliar workouts so you can come up with a game plan ahead of time and successfully execute the moves.

    Amazon

Promising review: "These cards are *amazing.* I love that I can schedule my workout week sensibly and safely — I really appreciate the tips on the backs of the cards! The calorie burn is accurate, if not a bit conservative. Lifting heavier will burn more, but the suggested burn is near perfect for lighter lift days. The HIIT and Core cards are such a nice bonus, too! My favorite part of this item is that I can do my workout at my pace without any annoying outdated music or chatting from a trainer like you'd find on a DVD. I get burned out easily from repetition (as in, the same dry jokes or WOO! in a DVD), and have bagged MANY workout programs, but these cards are perfect for keeping me excited about my fitness!" —Lori McCarthy

Get it from Amazon for $19.97.

    13. An exercise ball to help you keep up with your fitness routine in a low-impact way even while you get through yet another stressful episode of The Bachelor.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

I have an exercise ball at home and sometimes I'll just go to the living room and sit on the ball while I watch TV, which inevitably gives away to me bouncing on the ball, which then transitions to me actually using the ball for various exercises. Before I know it, I've already worked my abs and legs.

Promising review: "I can't even begin to say enough good things about this stability ball! My back has gotten so much stronger since I started using it as an office chair for one or two hours per day! I work from home and my back had gotten incredibly weak, to the point that I could only walk 1/4 mile before the pain would get EXTREMELY bad and unbearable. After two weeks of using the ball, I can now walk a mile before pain begins — that is a HUGE improvement and has made an even bigger impact on my happiness and quality of life. I might add that it is REALLY fun to bounce on it! I having been having a ball with it (pardon the pun)." —Valerie

Get it from Amazon for $18.90+ (available in five sizes and 11 colors).

    14. This one-gallon water bottle with motivational time markers to encourage you to stay hydrated throughout the day because you'd be surprised by how much more energized and focused you'll feel when you've actually had enough water to drink.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: "I'm in love with this bottle! Why? Because I only need to fill it ONCE and have my hydration requirements are met. The design is trendy, the motivational quotes help me stay on track, AND it's pretty much portable. I'd recommend using the hand bar instead of the little rope thing because a full bottle IS HEAVY! Love it and would recommend it for my fellow water laggers. Enjoy!" —Anisa

Get it from Amazon for $12.95+ (available in 3 sizes and 32 colors).

    15. Keeping the pad on hand makes it so easy for you to remember to fill your fridge with everything you need for yummy recipes.

    Amazon

The notepad is separated into two perforated sections: One section is for planning meals for each day of the week and the other is for writing down your shopping list.

Everyone in the house likes knowing what's for dinner and I love that it has a built-in shopping list. Makes the week so much less stressful when I have planned out every meal and have all of the ingredients to make it. Looks exactly like the pic, looks cute hanging on the fridge, very happy with this purchase!" —Steve

    16. This set of five leak-proof storage containers so you can prep a week's worth of lunches or dinners ahead of time to totally defeat the daily frenzy of not knowing what you're going to eat.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I’m pleased with the performance of these glass-like plastic containers. They’re great for meal prep, freezing, and microwaving. Even microwaved tomato sauce doesn’t stain these. The clip-on lids mean there’s no spilling or leaking despite frequent drops. However, the extremely tight seal may be tough for hands that are more arthritic than mine are. There are many sizes available. I can heartily recommend these ." —HollyShort

Get a pack of five from Amazon for $15.29 (also available in packs of 14, 16, 24, and 44).

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I love this bag so much. It’s a perfect size for lunch. It has nice long handles and a four-sided convenient Velcro seal. There is thermal insulation lining inside, so it’s nice to keep warm/cool and also good to protect from leaking. It also has a small pocket, so you can put a spoon or fork, or napkins. I cannot find any cons so far. Great product!" —J.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "These masks are amazing!!! Having 'ice pick' scars left over from acne I was told that I'd have to pay for expensive laser therapy because the body can't produce enough collagen to heal deep scars. I've been using these masks for two months and I've seen a SIGNIFICANT reduction in my scars. They are almost completely gone!" —Shaun

Get them from Amazon for $9.99.

    19. A Passion Planner to help you stay on track to achieve your personal and professional goals because merely saying you want to launch your side business for extra income this year isn't enough — you need to create actionable steps toward it.

    instagram.com

I finally took the plunge and bought myself a Passion Planner for the new year. I got the dated yearly planner because I didn't want to have to spend too much time just setting up my planner. It's also great for scheduling out my days — I love decorating and filling in the calendars, and I also really like the monthly reflections at the very end of every month. It's an expensive planner but I think it's worth buying because it really helps you get organized and visualize your goals.

Get it from Amazon for $30 or from Passion Planner for $28 (originally $35; available as an academic planner, a daily planner, an undated yearly calendar, and a dated yearly calendar. Each is available in 3+ colors/designs).

    amazon.com

I also started 2020 off with this five-year journal. It definitely forced me to have a nightly routine of remembering to write in it, but I think it's a great way to be more reflective and learn to look for the positive things in your day. It's also motivating me to put myself out there and have more experiences because I don't want to flip through my book at the end of five years and just have several pages full of, "I went to work and cooked dinner." When your days are so long that it's easy to forget about the amazing thing that happened or the cool thing you did just yesterday, this journal comes in handy for reminding you of those experiences.

Get it from Amazon for $13.48.

I gave blue-light blocking glasses a go and was extremely impressed with them!! Lo and behold, within minutes of wearing them and working on my computer, I felt relief I hadn't felt in weeks. I wore them every day for about three weeks until I was able to see my eye doctor for an updated lens prescription. FYI, you should only put on blue-light blocking glasses when you're actually looking at a computer or phone screen and not just to wear around for fashion purposes or else you could wind up hurting your eyes!

No more complaining about not having enough hours in the day to do everything you need to get done and still unwind.

    Amazon

Since I was looking for tips and strategies to up my productivity, I picked up a copy of this book. Honestly, I wasn't a die-hard fan of most of this book, BUT here's why I still recommend it:

The book reinforces the importance of having an early start to your day. It's scientifically proven that it is easier to get things done in the morning, compared to trying to get through a to-do list at other times of the day. Since learning this, I have definitely seen this play out in my own life, which is why I push myself to do as much as I can upon waking up. The book definitely articulates on this idea throughout, in fact, waking up early seems to be one of the biggest points of this book, so if you aren't someone who's used to getting up at the crack of dawn, this book will convince you to do so. ALSO, the book includes ideas for things to do daily, so there are great ideas for ways to help you practice a skill, practice mindfulness, or practice ways to become more well-rounded.
