Here's What The Cast Of "Elf" Look Like 15 Years After The Movie's Release

It's been a decade and a half since "cotton headed ninny muggins" was introduced to our vocabulary.

1. Will Ferrel – Buddy

Will Ferrel was already a big name but has been in ton of movies since then, but most notably his other iconic character Ron Burgundy in the Anchorman films.

2. Zooey Deschanel – Jovie

You probably now don't recognise Zooey without her trademark bangs and dark hair, and from 2011 to May 2018 she starred as Jess Day in the hit show New Girl.

3. Daniel Tay – Michael

Daniel seems to have taken a step back from the spotlight and acting, as the most recent public photo of him is from 2009. He doesn't have a social media presence, but it seems that he is an SAT tutor!

4. Mary Steenburgen – Emily

Mary was reunited with Will Ferrel when they acted together again in Step Brothers, and she's appeared in Orange is the New Black, The Last Man on Earth as well as the recent movie Book Club.

5. James Caan – Walter

James starred in the NBC show Las Vegas from 2003 to 2008, was in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, and has appeared in several independent horror and thriller movies amongst other things.

6. Peter Dinklage – Miles Finch

Peter Dinklage is a household name at this point, and you most likely know him as Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones.

7. Bob Newhart – Papa Elf

Bob has made recurring appearances on The Big Bang Theory as Professor Proton.

8. Jon Favreu – Doctor

In 2008, Jon directed a little-known movie called Iron Man and has now served as an executive producer of a number of films that comprise the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

9. Amy Sedaris – Deb

If you're big into bingeing Netflix, you'll know Amy has been in several episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and is Princess Caroline in Bojack Horseman.

10. Peter Billingsley – Ming Ming

First of all, Peter was also Ralphie in A Christmas Story so let that sink in for a minute. He's been in movies such as The Break-up and Couples Retreat, and more recently has been an executive producer on the animated Netflix show F is for Family.
