You know what you like when it comes to makeup and have a good idea of what suits you and what doesn’t. You still might take the odd risk but by and large you know what works best for your face and don’t pay much heed to new makeup techniques and trends.

You’re new to makeup, and working out what exactly you like. You definitely have some solid ideas of what you want your makeup to look like, but you haven’t found many products that you swear by just yet.

You have a makeup routine down perfectly and tend to know what you want from your makeup now. You’ve mastered all the techniques needed for your day-to-day looks, and you’re not always sure you can be fussed with learning new ones.

You’re open to experimenting with makeup and trying new trends. You might have a ~signature~ look, but like to do variations on it depending on your mood. You’re still perfecting some techniques while there are other ones you’ve pretty much nailed.

You’re pretty settled into one look for most days but you’re definitely open to trying new things. You might toy with the idea of doing a complete makeup overhaul, but there’s a difference between the makeup tutorials you love and the ones you want to try IRL.

You’re at a stage where you don’t mind ~investing~ in a few items and know what you want to prioritise when it comes to makeup. You’re pretty discerning of products as you’ve tried a few, but you still don’t feel like the contents of your makeup bag are _quite_ perfect just yet.
