During a Saturday afternoon panel with Joss Whedon at Comic-Con, a fan asked the brain behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Dr. Horrible, Dollhouse, and countless comic books to choose his favorite character of the ones he's created.
That's basically like asking a parent to pick their favorite child. But Whedon answered, "My answer would change daily. It could never stop changing."
But if he was forced? "How can I not [say] Buffy," Joss asked rhetorically.
"She is the very distilled essence of everything I am not and want desperately to be or be around."
"She’s sort of the nexus, the beating heart of everything I have done — or will [do]. She gets the nod."
