5 Animal TV Shows That Ended Before Their Time

What's your favorite pet/animal show on TV

With the recent and necessary cancellation of the HBO show, Luck, we here at Petsami are reminded of our five favorite pet shows you probably don't remember.

    1. seaQuest DSV

This was a show about a futuristic submarine that starred Roy Scheider, the lead character from Jaws, and a super intelligent dolphin. Your first question is most likely: "How many huge great white sharks did Scheider have to fight?" The answer was, sadly, none, and probably the reason why the show lasted only three seasons.

    2. Flipper (1995)

Back before rebooting any franchise with a shred of popularity was all the rage, the popular series was rebooted in the mide 90's. Probably the most notable thing about this version of flipper is that it helped launch Jessica Alba's career. Thanks Flipper!

    3. Benji, Zax & the Alien Prince

We don't know anything about this show except there was a dog named Benji and space travel involved. Sounds like a pretty ideal version of the future if you ask us.

    4. The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo

This was the last of the Scooby Doo shows that comprised the original Scooby Doo era and was centered around thirteen different ghosts that haunted Scooby and the gang. The show lasted for, you guessed it...13 episodes. Spooky.

    5. The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.

While the show was largely focussed on the eponymous sheriff played by the incomparable Bruce Campbell, it did feature an uncannily intelligent horse named Comet who often provided Brisco with both aid and comedic relief. Unfortunately, the show only lasted one season before Brisco and Comet road off into the sunset.
