Our Sin in a Tin Chocolate Pâté and Double Chocolate Terrine are based on an ancient French recipe perfected by Executive Chef Will Guthrie in the 1980's for his Dallas restaurants. It was so popular that he wanted to take it to a wider audience. He began developing it for other restaurants and people who wanted a fine dining dessert to take home. A frequent patron came up with the name "Sin in a Tin", and the rest is history.
After years in development, Sin In A Tin is now available at select markets and restaurants around the country. The taste is dense and velvety, and the usual response to tasting it for the first time is "wow"
They are handmade in small batches in a nut free environment with high-quality 60% bittersweet chocolate and only 5 natural ingredients, no artificial additives, and Certified Gluten-Free!
Sin In A Tin may be cut cold and served plain from the refrigerator as an elegant plated dessert, and while great on their own, we encourage Homemakers and Chefs to get creative with them. They can be glamourized with fresh berries, raspberry sauce, floated in Crème Anglaise, or topped with whatever you desire.
At room temperature, they turn into a chocolate fondue party spread for croissant, cookies, fruit, pretzels and whatever else a person can think of. They make great all year round gifts too.
