Knuckles Mountain Range

Shaped like knuckles formed into a fist, the Knuckles Mountain Range is the perfect place for hiking, mountain biking or camping. Amidst the shrouds of mist you will get a chance to see ancient forests, emerald tea plantations, secret waterfalls and rustic villages lost in time.

Horton Plains National Park

This protected area is nestled in the central highlands, within easy reach of Nuwara Eliya and such accommodation options as Jetwing St. Andrew's. Horton Plains National Park is made up of enchanting cloud forest and montane grassland areas, secluded lakes and magical waterfalls. Best of all is the World’s End point, a stunning drop spanning 880 metres with equally impressive vistas.

Adam’s Peak Wilderness Sanctuary

Set amidst the stunning sight of Adam’s Peak, this sanctuary features a tropical rainforest which to hike through. Those exploring the Adam’s Peak Wilderness Sanctuary can look to head to some of the other mountains in the area, but definitely make the long ascent to Adam’s Peak is you have not tried it.

Ella Rock

Hike your way up Ella Rock, amidst mist laden landscapes made up of gorgeous mountains and lush green tea estates. The hike to the summit can be quite steep, but the reward when you reach the top is spectacular, especially if you make it in time for sunrise.
