Are These British Desserts Real Or Did I Just Make Them Up?

The dish might be even weirder than the name suggests: a whole lemon, with butter and sugar, housed within some suet pastry.

This thing wouldn't look out of place in a fancy restaurant. Despite its modern looks, this mousse-like dessert actually peaked in popularity between the seventeenth to nineteenth century.

They're basically a hard, savoury biscuit – kind of similar to a rusk, but a little funnier to pronounce.

This was another fake one!

Strap yourself in because things are about to get wild. Imagine a pasty, but in the shape of a sausage roll, with one end containing a savoury filling and the other a sweet filling. Crazy.

This is as real as they come!

Why would you call a dessert something like this? Seriously, why? Was it named by a committee of goths? They're pastries filled with currants and/or raisins, which actually sounds quite delicious. But that name though.

Jesus Christ, this is real!

Oh no, looks like you aren't fully educated on the joys of British desserts.
