    Killing Eve follows Eve Polastri, a foreign intelligence operative, and her pursuit of the mysterious assassin, Villanelle. There has never been a crime thriller/drama with such well-written, captivating and complex female leads.

    We all know Sandra is a phenomenal actor from her Grey's Anatomy days, but her talent hits a whole new level with Eve, whose intelligence and curiosity makes her one of the most compelling female television characters to date. GIVE THIS WOMAN AN EMMY!!

    3. Jodie Comer as Villanelle:

    Where did this fantastic woman come from?! How is she only 25 years old?! Comer's Villanelle has so many layers, she makes it impossible not to root for a murderous psychopath. The character is brilliant, playful, funny, terrifying, and downright sexy. GIVE THIS WOMAN AN EMMY!!

    All of the supporting characters are just as intriguing as Eve and Villanelle. Fiona Shaw as Carolyn Martens (left) and Kim Bodnia as Konstantin Vasiliev (right) are dynamite and mysterious and THEY ALSO DESERVE AWARDS!

    5. The thrills:

    This show has countless edge-of-your-seat moments. You're following a murderer and an intelligence operative, so there's going to be some bloodshed. However, the show is filled with so many twists and turns, you're never fully prepared for what comes next.

    For a show this dark, it sure has a ton of hilarious moments. One second, you're panicking. The next, you're cracking up. Killing Eve keeps you on your toes from the start of episode one until the final seconds of episode eight.

    It's beyond impressive how well the music matches up with the scenes. Watching the show in subtitles is almost like watching a director's mood commentary. Also, the songs are just really solid.

    BBC America makes COMPELLING television. If you loved Orphan Black, then this show is for you.

    9. Phoebe Waller-Bridge:

    She is the show's writer/showrunner/producer/brains behind the operation. Best known for Fleabag and her recent portrayal of L3-37 in Solo, Phoebe developed Killing Eve, which is based on Luke Jennings' Codename Villanelle novella series. Her voice shines through the show, making it something special.

    Okay, "romance" might be the wrong word but it's certainly ROMANTIC... in a fucked up, mesmerizing, unique, and amazing sort of way.
