    "Jurassic Park" Was Released 25 Years Ago — Here's What The Cast Looks Like Now

    It's been 25 years since life found a way...

    Sam Neill (Alan Grant)

    Then: In 1993, Sam had already been in the biz for 20 years. He had just co-starred in the Oscar-winning film The Piano in addition to multiple TV movies.

    Now: Last year, he made a hilarious cameo in Thor: Ragnarok. This year, he was featured in The Commuter and Peter Rabbit, and he's got five upcoming projects in the works, including Ride Like a Girl and The Guinea Pig Club.

    Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler)

    Then: In addition to Jurassic Park, Laura also starred in Clint Eastwood's A Perfect World in 1993. She didn't make any appearences in 1994, but did provide one of the famous voices on Frasier in 1995.

    Now: 2017 was the year of Laura Dern. She co-starred in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Twin Peaks: The Return, and won an Emmy for Big Little Lies. This year, she already starred in the HBO original film The Tale and is working on lots of projects, including the upcoming untitled Noah Baumbach film.

    Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm)

    Then: Jeff was nearing his 20th year in film when he donned his bare chest in the instant Spielberg classic. The year before, he starred in Shooting Elizabeth with Mimi Rogers and was only a few years away from playing David Levinson in Independence Day.

    Now: Last year, Jeff co-starred in Thor: Ragnarok but, sadly, was not onscreen when Sam Neill cameoed. This year, he voiced Duke in Isle of Dogs and will soon be reprising his role of Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

    Samuel L. Jackson (Ray Arnold)

    Then: Another Hollywood veteran, Samuel L. Jackson was also featured in True Romance in 1993. The next year, he went on to star in Pulp Fiction, which earned him an Oscar nomination.

    Now: Jackson also had a busy 2017, starring in The Hitman's Bodyguard and Kong: Skull Island. This year, he made a big cameo as Nick Fury in Avengers: Infinity War and will be reprising his role as Frozone in the upcoming Incredibles 2. Next year, he'll be starring in Shaft and Captain Marvel.

    Wayne Knight (Dennis Nedry)

    Then: A year before the Dilophosaurus ate him up, Wayne was featured in Basic Instinct and made his first appearance as Newman on Seinfeld, which he continued to do until the finale in 1998.

    Now: Despite some online rumors that he died, Wayne is very much alive and contunies to work. This year, he was in the film Blindspotting and appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

    BD Wong (Dr. Henry Wu)

    Then: Two years before he helped take science a little too far, Wong was featured in Mystery Date and Father of the Bride. He had a great bit part in The Ref and co-starred in Men of War in 1994.

    Now: In addition to having recurring parts on Mr. Robot and Gothom, BD will be reprising his role of Dr. Wu in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom after he miraculously survivied the events of Jurassic World.

    Martin Ferrero (Donald Gennaro)

    Then: Two years after he was infamously eaten on the toilet, Ferrero went on to do the crime movies Get Shorty and Heat.

    Now: After a ten-year break from acting, Martin reprised his role of Donald in an episode of CollegeHumor Originals. Last year, Jimmy Kimmel gave him a hilarious Lifetime Achievement Award.

    Ariana Richards (Lex Murphy)

    Then: As a child actor, Ariana appeared in many shows and movies before Jurassic Park, including Tremors and the TV movie Switched at Birth. She won multiple awards for her breakout performance in Jurassic Park.

    Now: Ariana continued to make appearances in shows and movies until 2013. She now focuses on her art, which you can check out here.

    Joseph Mazzello (Tim Murphy)

    Then: A year before Jurassic Park, Joseph co-starred in Radio Flyer and Jersey Girl (the Dylan McDermott movie, not the Kevin Smith movie) and starred opposite Meryl Streep in The River Wild in 1994.

    Now: Mazello has been steadily working in Hollywood ever since playing the iconic Tim Murphy. In 2016, he appeared in an episode of Elementary and will be playing John Deacon in the upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

    Bob Peck (Robert Muldoon)

    Then: In 1993, Peck was featured in an episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and starred in the TV movie Encounters: In Lambeth. Before that, he had been acting onscreen since 1972.

    Now: Sadly, Bob Peck died of cancer in 1999. His last appearance was voicing Joseph of Arimathea in The Miracle Maker. He will forever be remembered for Muldoon's famous last words, "clever girl".

    Richard Attenborough (John Hammond)

    Then: By the time he donned his famous white ensemble, Attenborough had already been in the business for 50 years. Surprisingly, Jurassic Park was his first acting role in over 10 years. He must have missed it because he immediately went on to play Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street.

    Now: Richard Attenborough died in 2014 at the age of 90. He had a long career in acting and directing, was a Royal Air Force pilot during WWII, and won two Oscars. His last onscreen appearance was in 2002's Puckoon and he directed his last film, Closing the Ring, in 2007.
