The Definitive Ranking Of Ms. Frizzle's Outfits
But really, how did she afford a new one for each day on a teacher's salary?
54. "Works Out" (Season 3, Episode 9)

There is no excuse for this sweatsuit, Ms. Frizzle. I expect more, even for your activewear.
53. "Goes On Air" (Season 4, Episode 4)

At least it's a jumpsuit and not a sweatsuit?
52. "In The Arctic" (Season 3, Episode 2)
Nope, I cannot.
51. "Plays Ball" (Season 1, Episode 10)

Hammer earrings and a bowling pin dress? Major point deduction for lack of coherent theme here.
50. "The Family Holiday Special" (Season 3, Episode 13)

There are a menorah and wreath in the background, but if there is one thing Ms. Frizzle believes in, it's recycling apparently. Though that's not the case when it comes to her clothing. Your hypocrisy will not be rewarded here, Ms. Frizzle.
49. "Hops Home" (Season 1, Episode 5)

Just a sun and some frogs and grass? Come on.
48. "Gets Charged" (Season 4, Episode 10)

Lightbulbs and batteries? Yawn.
47. "Gets Eaten" (Season 1, Episode 4)

Nautical-themed? Step your game up, Frizz.
46. "Goes To Mussel Beach" (Season 4, Episode 3)

Well, this looks familiar.
45. "Goes to Seed" (Season 1, Episode 11)

Personally, I loathe tomatoes so I would've gone with a different vegetable for this garden-themed sundress. But the hat and watering can earrings almost make up for it.
44. "Gets Planted" (Season 3, Episode 10)

Vegetation again, but at least there are no tomatoes. And a solid entrance as well.
43. "Getting Energzied" (Season 2, Episode 10)

Just some windmills. Very Quixotic, but nothing to see here.
42. "Goes Upstream" (Season 3, Episode 8)

Just some sea creatures. Nothing to see here.
41. "Out of this World" (Season 2, Episode 11)

Just some asteroids and stars. Nothing to see here.
40. "Takes A Dive" (Season 4, Episode 13)

Just an astronaut-meets-scuba-diving suit-slash-helmet. Nothing to see here.
39. "Meets the Rot Squad" (Season 1, Episode 6)

Worm/beetle dress? Minus 5. Shroom earrings? Plus 10.
38. "Spins a Web" (Season 3, Episode 3)

Standard eight-legged fare, but props for the creatively arranged straws (and the fact that she comes bearing snacks and drink).
37. "Gets Swamped" (Season 4, Episode 5)

There's nothing too special about this fish-themed rain jacket, but there is something special about a lady who can pull off an umbrella hat.
36. "Flexes Its Muscles" (Season 2, Episode 2)

Turquoise suits The Frizz, and I do enjoy this very geometric design, even though it seems like a missed opportunity for those gears to actually turn.
35. "Ups and Downs" (Season 2, Episode 13)

Cute hat, Frizz. But this school bus does not take field trips to Connecticut.
34. "Going Batty" (Season 2, Episode 4)

There's nothing all that original about this bat look, but at least she is fully committed to it.
33. "Butterfly And The Bog Beast" (Season 2, Episode 5)

Same goes for this butterfly look, which was also accompanied by flying (bonus points) and a fucking terrifying headpiece (minus points).
32. "Revved Up" (Season 1, Episode 8)

It's pretty cool that Ms. Frizzle is so handy when it comes to fixing the bus, but like, there are screws on her chest here, you guys.
31. "Gets Ready, Set, Dough" (Season 1, Episode 9)

Props for another jumpsuit, changing it up from her standard dress of choice, but much like the screws on the chest, it's not the best choice to have a giant hammer by one's crotch. Also, enough screwdriver-themed wear. Please and thank you.
30. "Gains Weight" (Season 4, Episode 8)

This jumpsuit is certainly an improvement. But now there is a globe by the crotch. Apparently, The Frizz has really been places.
29. "In The Haunted House" (Season 1, Episode 8)
This keyboard hem is pretty classy as far as The Frizz goes. But the one-woman show she puts on to debut it bumps up this ensemble.
28. "Wet All Over" (Season 2, Episode 6)

There's nothing all that special about this dress either, but again, props for the entrance and the fact that she was able to fit it beneath a wetsuit.
27. "Cold Feet" (Season 2, Episode 12)
Unique for sure, but a lizard riding another scaly creature? That's just wrong. Even the alligator suit looks pissed.
26. "Under Construction" (Season 3, Episode 4)

Yes, it's another jumpsuit. But this one is slightly less screw-y and more protractor-y and there is no symbolism by the crotch, so it gets a leg up over the others. Also, The Frizz has paired this red number with Timbs, which, YAAASS!
25. "Makes A Stink" (Season 4, Episode 9)

From skunks to trash cans, this dress celebrates all things odorous. Truly, there has never been anything else like it. But that's probably for the best.
24. "Cracks A Yolk" (Season 4, Episode 2)

Lily Pulitzer would've loved these polkadots — and the pink and green color combination. It's pretty classic. But though this hat is daring (and tres '80s), I expect more from The Frizz.
23. "For Lunch" (Season 1, Episode 2)

Not exactly the most innovative, but who doesn't love a dress that can include tacos, cheese, and dentures?
22. "In A Pickle" (Season 2, Episode 7)

I believe this is some sort of funghi/amoeba dress, which The Frizz is wearing with pickle earrings that are almost as large as the pickle she's eating. Because, of course.
21. "In The City" (Season 4, Episode 12)
Because possums deserve to be on a dress... with a cityscape?
20. "Sees Stars" (Season 4, Episode 7)
This constellation dress is elegant, informative, and creative. Frizzle really stepped her game up.
19. "Works Out" (Season 3, Episode 9)

A workout look straight out of Clarissa Darling's closet. It is everything.
18. "Goes Cell-Ular" (Season 4, Episode 6)

A diamond gown with pockets AND a choker? Literally no one else could pull this off.
17. "All Dried Up" (Season 1, Episode 7)

This hot pink and purple striped dress with green cowboy boots is legitimately my 4-year-old self's dream ensemble.
16. "Blows Its Top" (Season 2, Episode 1)

Her globe earrings glow. The end.
15. "Makes a Rainbow" (Season 3, Episode 7)

This may be her happiest ensemble and is absolutely the most LGBTQ-friendly. What's not to love?
14. "Gets A Bright Idea" (Season 3, Episode 5)

If this were just a lighthouse design, it wouldn't warrant such placement. But these are FUNCTIONING LIGHTHOUSES, people! Props for purpose, Ms. Frizzle.
13. "In A Beehive" (Season 3, Episode 1)

A) How did she get in this faux hive? B) How long did she stay in said faux hive? C) How did she make said faux hive roll at the perfect moment? D) How is her dress so fabulous and unwrinkled after staying in said faux hive for an unknown amount of time? The mysteries and gloriousness of The Frizz, you guys.
12. "In The Rain Forest" (Season 3, Episode 11)
The woman is simultaneously saving the rainforest while uni-cycling. NBD.
11. "Rocks and Rolls" (Season 3, Episode 12)
No joke, I would wear this coat. I would not, however, become a snowperson. Also, Winter Frizzle is an adorable Frizzle.
10. "Taking Flight" (Season 2, Episode 9)

This shearling aviator jacket is perfection. As are the lilac pantaloons tucked into the knee-high magenta boots. Again, it's a pink-and-purple color combination that simply cannot be beat.
9. "Gets Ready, Set, Dough" (Season 1, Episode 9)
I mean, there are test tubes on her dress and she is wearing a flower crown. That is all.
8. "Shows And Tells" (Season 3, Episode 6)

Basically, she outdid The Riddler by turning his green and purple question-mark suit into OVERALLS. And, of course, Liz is the ultimate head piece. Bless this woman.
7. "Gets Lost in Space" (Season 1, Episode 1)
She legitimately has a planetarium on her head. (Sidebar: This is how we first met her and I wouldn't have it any other way.)
6. "Gets Programmed" (Season 4, Episode 11)

Obviously, she was ripped off by the costume designer of Tron. But imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
5. "Gets Ants In The Pants" (Season 1, Episode 12)
Firstly, the woman is wearing antennae. Secondly, this dress has a giant sunflower, the signature plant of the '90s. Thirdly, IT FEATURES MAGICALLY APPEARING ANTS! Fourthly, the butterfly bow shoes.
4. "Inside Ralphie" (Season 1, Episode 3)

Um, the bottle of cough syrup on her dress is actually pouring medicine into a spoon. It is helpful and magical all at once!
3. "Kicks Up A Storm" (Season 1, Episode 13)

Polka raincoat? Check. Adorable hat? Check. Fancy gloves? Check. Magic wellies that can fit with cute flats underneath them? Check. EVEN MORE MAGICAL DRESS AND EARRINGS that flash lightning bolts? Check and check.
2. "The Busasaurus" (Season 2, Episode 3)

Hi. These are PINK AND RED Stegosaurus booties. She is shutting it the fuck down.
1. "Meets Molly Cule" (Season 4, Episode 1)

This may not be as flashy as other Ms. Frizzle looks, but she is wearing studded sunglasses, electric guitar earrings, and a Saturday Night Fever-meets-Santa Clause jumpsuit. Oh, and some purple shoes to top the whole thing off. It doesn't really get better than this.
