Dr. Evil Hijacked "SNL" To Mock North Korea And Sony About "The Interview" Situation

"What are you going to do next, GOP? Ask for one million dollars?"

Posted on

The final episode of Saturday Night Live for 2014 started off with a surprise appearance from the show's alum Mike Myers, in character as the legendary Austin Powers villain Dr. Evil.

NBC

He interrupted A Very Somber Christmas With Sam Smith (as played by Taran Killam).

He was there to clear the name of evil everywhere.

Because he really wasn't happy with North Korea or Sony's handling of The Interview situation.

First, he took North Korea to task.

And then the hacker group Guardians of Peace (GOP) specifically, which hacked Sony.

(Of course, he made an Austin Powers reference in the process.)

NBC

Then, it was Sony's turn.

(And Myers took the opportunity to mock his 2008 flop in the process.)

NBC

Thanks, Dr. Evil. Sage advice all around.
