Jadedseraph commented on Which TV Moment Was Way Ahead Of Its Time?

Murder, She Wrote wrote in so much social commentary. There are episodes dealing with abortion, sexual harassment, and gender roles to name a few. Not everything ages well (like the voodoo episode), but the majority are still relevant today. One of my favorite episodes is season 2,…

Jadedseraph commented on 17 Facts About Endometriosis That Show Just How Horrific This Disease Is

I had a hysterectomy at age 29 after 4 excision surgeries and 2 rounds of Lupron. My left ovary and the majority of my uterus were adhered to my abdominal wall because of the endo. It took me 4 gyns to find one that was willing to do a hysterectomy on someone my age, but that surgery…

Jadedseraph commented on A Person's Disgusted Reaction To This Woman Parking In A Handicap Spot Prompted Her — A Disabled Person — To Share This Important Message

I have a permanent pass after 2 spine and 3 hip surgeries. I’ve had to relearn how to walk 3 different times. Walking long distances is still hard for me as every step is painful. I’ve had similar experiences with nosy people. The worst have been at my old office. We had a limited…

Jadedseraph commented on 19 Books So Questionable That People Started Them But Never Finished Them

I loved The Silent Patient. The undercurrent of misogyny of the main character is part of the point. It’s a psychological thriller and well paced. Definitely deserving of all its awards.

Jadedseraph commented on 19 Things People With Endometriosis Are Pretty Damn Sick Of

I had a partial hysterectomy (they left one ovary but took the diseased one) 7 years ago when I was 29. Almost everyone tried to talk me out of it, especially the endo community. The only people that were supportive were my parents, my best friend, and my surgeon. But I wouldn't change…

Jadedseraph commented on What Are The Most Underrated Aldi Food And Drink Items?

The gluten free mixes are all amazing and less than half what I'd pay for one of a lower quality elsewhere. The cinnamon muffins are to die for! And all the popcorn seasonings are so delicious! We use them on popcorn (obviously), chips, and even on baked chicken or fish.

Jadedseraph commented on What Is The Most Annoying Part Of Being Gluten Free?

I was diagnosed as gluten intolerant after a long illness and several tests. Unlike those of you with Celiac, when I eat gluten my stomach stops functioning - it literally slows to a crawl and dangerous toxins build up. It's a disease called gastroparesis. I am lucky enough to live…

Jadedseraph commented on What Chub Rub Fighting Product Do You Swear By?

Body glide works wonders! And you don't need to spend more on the needlessly gendered (or strangely camouflage?) versions. The original is amazing and works all day long even in the heat.
