I think the daughter was referring to where the phrase originated, hinting at the fact that she’s young enough to be unfamiliar with landline phones. Thus making anyone who still remembers them feel old.
Was he really TRYING to be “famous”? That’s debatable. Although, I’m not sure what exactly he thought would happen, tagging everything with #sherlock and #benedict. He certainly wasn’t shooting for anonymity. Strangely, he looks a lot like my brother did at 16 (he’s 33 now).
Response to 57 British Actors Every Geek Will Recognize:
To those of you complaining that the author did not list each actor’s entire filmography, the title of the article is “57 British Actors Every GEEK Will Recognize.” They were only listing the roles that would be most identifiable to those in large, geeky fandoms, i.e. “Doctor Who,” “Star Trek,” “Lord of the Rings,” etc. For example, we all know Bill Nighy was in “Love Actually,” along with Thomas Brodie-Sangster, but that film doesn’t exactly haveahuge, nerdy fandom attached to it, so it wasn’t listed.
