We have read 23 Reasons Why October Is The Best Month Ever, but for all of us Debbie Downer's or Negative Nancy's out there, that are against October, here's a list for us.

1. The Cold Winds

For the ones that live in the northern regions, it starts to get cold in september and october. Once you get the harsh cold winds, you know it's all down hill from here. I consider October to be the Sunday of months, you realize the summer has gone and went, and you dread for what's coming... winter DUN dun dun!

2. The fall leaves

Another signification of that summer is long gone, the fall leaves turn into beautiful colors. Even though I can appreciate the beauty, I know what's coming next. The leaves fall to the ground and make a mess everywhere. As a kid, you probably loved this, you jumped, you marched, you leaped into those leaves, but as an adult, you were bestowed the great responsibility of raking those leaves. There's so many leaves and your back hurts, and you don't want to pay someone to do it for you.

3. Shorter Days

Gets dark earlier and earlier. Losing daytime to do things. Cold and dark **sigh**

4. Candy Corn or any other disgusting artificial candy

It's everywhere! Same as it's sister, Valentine's Day chalky, antacid-like hearts, they give you the worse stomach aches. They make you sick for just having one.

5. Orange

Everything is Orange! It's either the combination of orange and black or orange and brown. Personally, I hate the color of orange. To me it's obnoxious, loud and it's an eye sore to look at. But it's the theme color for Halloween.

6. Early Trick-or-Treaters

I understand you have a toddler and want them to experience the fun of trick-or-treating, but if you're coming at my door at noon, don't expect an answer. I don't start harboring candy for Halloween in August, like some of you enthusiasts. In fact, I rush to the drug store at last minute because my life consists of working.

7. That neighbor that goes all out with decorations for halloween

I had a neighbor for several years, that decked out his property every year for halloween. I can appreciate the work that has gone into do this, however, he had a halloween cd that was played on a loop for hours, through his outdoor speakers. It was loud, and I can remember hearing at 1:00am Ghostbuster's theme song. Not fun, if you are forced to get up early, to go to work the next day. And an additional annoyance, people did not go away either. They would constantly go on your property, thinking it's ok to walk all over your front lawn and throw their candy wrappings, but you didn't say anything because you didn't want to be a kill-joy.

8. The Pranks

As if people that won't leave your property was bad enough, teens believe that halloween is national holiday of doing obnoxious pranks to unsuspecting, good, law-biding citizens. Egging, silly stringing, toilet-papering, or breaking mailboxes, is their specialty. But doing this, does not make you cool, you're just putting everyone else out.

9. Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving is not as easy as it looks. It never quite comes out as you envisioned, and those pumpkin carving kits, they help, but they don't work miracles. Gutting the pumpkin is tedious, and the clean up afterward is grueling.

10. The guts of the pumpkin

It's messy, and unless you enjoy eating pumpkin seeds, or you know how to make pumpkin pie or have the time to make one, it's a waste, and you feel bad for throwing it out.

11. Scaring People

You enjoy scaring others quite a bit, but if you're the butt of the scaring joke, it's just awful.

12. You can keep your sweater weather

Sweaters are itchy and confining.

13. Scary Movies

There are marathons of them and it's on almost every channel at this time. I don't understand people who enjoy this torment.

14. Haunted Houses

Same reasons as the scary movies, but what makes it worse is that your friends keep pushing you to go with them. It's very traumatizing to some.

15. Your car's condensation

Well this can happen at any part of the fall/winter but you start noticing it when it starts to get cold in September/October. You're cold and in a hurry, you want to heat up your car but your windows get foggy so you need to open your windows or turn on the ac to get rid of it. So annoying!

16. Spiders

Spiders start coming into the house, because it's getting cold. Best way to describe spiders are like little pieces of death wrapped in scary.

17. Pumpkin Spice Latte

For the people who don't drink coffee, it's tiring to see all the status updates and instagram photo's of it. Plus, your friends push you to try some, even though you repeatedly told them you don't like coffee, they think that magically you'll start to love coffee because of their pumpkin spice latte.

18. Rude Trick-or-treaters

Some kids should not be unattended. It's aggravating when you're about to give candy to the trick-or-treaters, and a kid decides he can not wait like all the others, and grabs it from your bowl. You want to grab that kid and make them give it back to you, so you can re-issue the candy back to them, but that can lead to misunderstandings and legal troubles.

19. The Neighbor(s) with bad treats

When going door to door in the cold, and you're sporting around a costume that you can be proud of, you run into the neighbor that gives out toothpaste and floss, or a bar of Almond joy. There's no excuses for this neighbor, you messed up big time.

20. Heating bill

Since everyone is not fortunate enough to have a fireplace in their homes, your heating bill will go up or you'll be stuck with multiple sweaters and blankets to keep you warm. With the constant fight over the thermostat, family member's will divide and resentment forms. And getting out of your warm bed in the morning is torture.

21. Childhood Halloween Movies

Ok don't get me wrong I enjoy reminiscing with the halloween classics, but since I don't get enjoyment from getting so scared that I need to change my pants, with the scary movies, that cuts my channels down to half. Since these childhood classics are on constant replay, it gets very boring. I can watch them up to three times at most.

22. Teeth Sensitivity

All the candy I eat, the more sensitive my teeth are. And all the candy at my disposal, the temptation is unbearable.
