I think it’s safe to say that Rachel Green had a very colourful love life. She's proof that you definitely have to kiss a few frogs to get to your Prince Charming.

Here are all the people that Rachel dated throughout the series from least to most dateable:

17. Barry Farber

Barry easily wins first prize for being the most unpleasant guy that Rachel was involved with. He not only cheated on her with her best friend Mindy, but then later cheated on Mindy with Rachel. He's the ultimate fuckboy! 

16. Josh

NBC

Josh had very few redeemable qualities, let's be honest. Aside from having the emotional intelligence of a seven-year-old and only having a passion for partying, he also stole money from Rachel. He is certainly not the guy you’d take home to your parents. 

15. Chip Matthews

NBC

Chip and Rachel dated throughout high school and went to prom together, where he abandoned her to sleep with another girl! In season four, Monica also dated Chip, only to find out that he was just as undateable all those years later. He's basically a walking red flag. I can’t say I’m surprised though, chances are a guy named ‘Chip’ isn’t going to be marriage material. 

14. Steve

Dating was clearly not Steve’s strong suit. On their blind date, he revealed that he lost his business to drugs, lives in a studio apartment with two other guys, and then proceeded to tell Rachel that he’s infertile – that’s one way to scare someone off. 

13. Paolo

There’s no denying that there were heaps of chemistry between Rachel and Paolo. The Italian stallion was a regular in season one, and it looked like things could become quite serious between the pair – that is, until he made a pass at Phoebe. It's the audacity for me.

12. Tommy (The Screamer)

Tommy seemed like a great match for Rachel at first. However, it wasn’t long until he started yelling at everyone and everything in sight including an elderly couple, Ross, and even the Chick and the Duck! If that’s not a dealbreaker, I don’t know what is. 

11. Kash Ford

Kash may have been a dreamy soap opera star, but he was definitely not husband material. Rachel and Kash had a very brief relationship that ultimately ended when he found out about her pregnancy. After learning the news, he freaked out! Clearly he wasn't ready for anything serious. 

10. Russ

NBC

There is very little to like about Russ. He's obviously a complete carbon copy of Ross, but way less interesting. As soon as she finally notices the resemblance between the two, Rachel gets the ick and calls it a day. While he was a nice enough guy, he was certainly not endgame. 

9. Michael

NBC

In season two, Monica sets Rachel up on a date with divorcee Michael. Unfortunately, Rachel couldn't get Ross out of her head and she spent the entire time talking about him and Julie. The poor guy couldn’t get a word in edgeways, and he honestly deserves a medal for being such a gentleman throughout.

8. Danny (The Yeti)

This romance began shortly after Rachel fogged Danny in the basement when she mistook him for a Yeti. After a rocky start, they become an item and seemed really happy together. It was ultimately Danny's extra close (borderline incestuous) relationship with his sister that led to their break up. He may have had the glow-up of all glow-ups, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

7. Paul Stevens

Paul may have had his issues with Ross (who was dating his daughter at the time) but he was pretty wonderful to Rachel. On paper, he was actually the perfect guy! Sadly, it all came crashing down when she finally got him to open up emotionally, and things went from 0 to 100 real quick.

6. Tag Jones

NBC

Despite being a lot younger than Rachel and also working for her, Tag was a great choice of boyfriend. He completely adored Rachel and was there for her no matter what. Unfortunately, on her 30th birthday, she realised that she needed someone slightly older and more mature, and she called time on their relationship. Even though things didn't work out between them, Tag remains one of the loveliest guys Rachel dated.

5. Mark Robinson

If we ignore the fact that Mark played a big role in the demise of Ross and Rachel's relationship, he was actually a really great guy! He got Rachel her first job at Bloomingdale's (which kickstarted her career in fashion) and continued to help her in any way he could whenever they met again. If things had worked out differently, Mark and Rachel would’ve been a really strong couple. 

4. Gavin Mitchell

NBC

While Gavin came across as an arrogant prick at first, he later opened up and we saw he was a big softie at heart! He covered for Rachel at work, helped rebuild her confidence after her maternity leave, and got her that great scarf! The timing just wasn't right for them as a couple, which is a damn shame as Gavin had A LOT of potential. 

3. Joshua Burgin

These two could've been great together, but Rachel's obsession with Ross and Emily ended up ruining their relationship. After Ross and Emily announced their engagement, Rachel panicked and suggested that she and Joshua also tie the knot. Shortly after declining her offer, Joshua (understandably) decided it was best that they go their separate ways. 

2. Joey Tribbiani

I think we can all agree that this pairing should never have happened. Even if Ross was fine with it, I certainly was not. But while Joey and Rachel were clearly not compatible, there is no doubt that Joey would make a wonderful partner for the right person.

Thank God Rachel got off the plane because these two were meant to be! Ross may not be perfect, but he's perfect for Rachel. He's her lobster after all!
