in hollywood or in general everybody seems to think that women are opressed in pakistan and that is true in most cases but pakistani women are pretty modern, get a proper education, and also spend a fortune on designer clothes so maybe show us in something other than topi wala burqu in movies

we don't all speak perfect urdu infact most of us don't. You will hear a different version of urdu with different words, slang and pronunciation of words i mean seriously come to pakistan and you will know the difference between a layari wale ki and defence ke burger's urdu or a pindi boy's vocab. (these are all places in pakistan)

everybody gets an arranged marriage

the misconception that every marriage is an arranged one in pakistan is annoying specially that all of us marry our cousins.. ok i will admit that the arranged marriage thing used to be very common and still sometimes happen but the truth about cousin marriages is that you marry your cousin only if a) you are desperately single b)your cousin is desperately single or c) you fell in love with your cousin. and cousin marriages are allowed in islam you just can't marry your direct relatives like siblings half siblings and parents
