A topless FEMEN protester was arrested by police outside the courthouse Thursday following the verdict in the Jian Ghomeshi trial.
The protester interrupted a press conference with chants of "Ghomeshi guilty!" and was dragged away by police. She had the message "Women declare Ghomeshi guilty" written on her back.
Jian Ghomeshi was found not guilty of sexual assault against three complainants earlier in the day.
There were many other protesters outside the courthouse with signs about believing sexual assault survivors.
FEMEN Canada confirmed the protester was one of the group's members.
"This was the trial of women’s attitudes and experiences of sexual assault, not the trial of the crime and the aggressor!"
FEMEN Canada, which is especially active in Quebec, has previously demonstrated at the Quebec National Assembly.
The protester was not charged.
