This "Paul Rudd Park" In Saanich Needs To Become Permanent

The parks department doesn't seem happy about it.

Someone in Saanich, British Columbia, is a big Paul Rudd fan. A sign for Rudd Park was reimagined in the actor's honour, and honestly, this should just become permanent.

It's great that the City of Saanich #yyj decided to finally dedicate one of our local parks to the great #PaulRudd.…

The sign for Paul Rudd Park appeared over the weekend, according to photos on Twitter and Reddit.

The additional letters and Paul Rudd's photo look like they were put up using Scotch tape.

"I like that it can be easily removed," said one redditor. "Funny and thoughtful."

A very conscientious vandal. 🇨🇦

The Saanich parks department confirmed that the sign was real, but they've already taken it down. "Not sure what group did it," they said in an email to BuzzFeed Canada. "It has been removed."

But don't let that discourage you, people of Saanich. Remember that Vancouver's Dude Chilling Park took a prolonged campaign before it was finally recognized.
