Everything Is Kinda Shit, But At Least "Paddington" Is Dropping On Stan This Friday

    Finally, some good news.

Look, I'm not going to sugarcoat it — 2020 has truly been a shit year. It started off bad, went to worse and now we're sort of in this stagnant period where time seems to be both flying by and going extremely slow.

    Miramax Films

To help keep things positive, I've found myself reaching more and more for wholesome and comforting movies, rather than my usual go-to of sci-fi, thriller and horror.

So, when I saw that Paddington was coming to Stan, I was immediately excited, especially since my friends have been telling me to watch this movie for just about forever.

It drops this Friday, September 4!

If you're not familiar with the story, it's based on the Paddington bear character created by Michael Bond. The movie follows his travels from the jungles of Peru to the streets of London, where he is adopted by the Brown family.

Just look at his cute, little outfit!!!!

Being a live-action movie, it also stars some big names alongside the adorable Paddington, like Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins and Nicole Kidman.

And judging by these pictures, it looks like exactly the sort of movie that I need in my life right now.

Plus, it has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 97%, so it's bound to be good!

Once you're done with Paddington (and have most likely rewatched it a couple of times for good measure), there's plenty more headed to Stan in September.

TBS / Team Coco / Via

You can catch other blockbusters, like Selma (September 7), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (September 15) and the entire Twilight Saga (September 17) on the streaming service.

    Paramount Pictures, Summit Entertainment

Catch me humming "Bella's Lullaby" and rewatching that iconic baseball scene from Twilight.

Or, if you're in the mood for a binge-watch, various seasons of Everybody Loves Raymond (September 14) Catfish (September 17) and Grey's Anatomy (September 30) will be be dropping throughout the month.

If you're a fan of Everybody Loves Raymond, you'll be happy to know that Seasons 1-9 will be dropping. Meanwhile, Season 7 of Catfish will be available on Stan, followed up by Season 14 of Grey's Anatomy.

Can't wait that long? Well, Skins, The Office, Parks And Recreation and 30 Rock are already available for you to stream.

    E4, NBC

    That's all for September, folks!

And get excited for the upcoming months because Stan have partnered up with NBCUniversal, which means a bunch of new series — think a reimagining of Battlestar Galactica, Brave New World and Gangs Of London — coming soon.
