You know Serena Williams — champion tennis player, winner of 23 Grand Slam titles and just an all-round queen.
Well, like many other tennis players, Serena is currently competing in the Australian Open. But, unlike the stereotypically-dressed others, she's known for raising the bar when it comes to her outfits. Not only does she serve on the court, but her fits do as well.
So, it's no surprise that during her first round match against Laura Siegemund, Serena stepped onto the court wearing a one-legged — yes, ONE-LEGGED — catsuit.
Like, hello — look at this dream tennis outfit, with those pink, red and black stripes.
She is beauty, she is grace, she is poised to win this tennis race.
If I was playing against Serena and she entered the court wearing this, I would probably just call it a day, tbh.
Because you just know she's gunning to win that 24th Grand Slam title and will NOT hold back.
Seriously though, this catsuit not only looks great on Serena, but shows off what a badass, hardworking and inspiring athlete she is.
Oh, and she won in straight sets, just in case the haters are wondering. 😘
In a post-match interview, Serena credited Nike for the outfit, which was inspired by Florence Griffith Joyner — a sprinter known not only for her history-making athletic ability, but for her bright, colourful track outfits.
She said: "Watching her [Flo-Jo's] fashion, always changing, her outfits were amazing. So, this year we thought what can we do to keep elevating the Serena Williams on court."
Serena Williams is forever a queen, both on and off the court. I can't wait to see what other outfits she has in store while competing to win her 24th Grand Slam title.
