Yes, there's "a plot" and "hilarious dialogue" and "a feminist message that will inspire young girls for decades to come." You know what else there is? LOOKS.

Get ready for the Battle of the Blondies.

First up, driving outfits! On the left, we've got Barbie's monochromatic pink pastel number with a matching hat and hair bow. On the right, we've  Elle's multicolour ensemble. She's also rocking a hat and braids, but her purple faux fur coat and red jumper give the overall look a distinctive autumn feel. Which driver is going to win the fashion race?

On the left, we've got Barbie's party jumpsuit. On the right, we have Elle's shimmery blue cocktail dress that she considers wearing to her "proposal" dinner.  Both of our blonde protagonists can clearly pull of a sequinned party outfit – but, whose sparkly outfit is the ultimate showstopper?

Barbie's navy blue look with a Peter-Pan collar and Elle's teal cardigan and flannel tie are both iconic preppy moments. But, which character has the _more_ iconic outfit?

This Barbie may not control the railways or the flows of commerce, but she does look cute in a cowboy outfit. And while Elle might not have realized there was summer reading, she does have a 4.0 GPA in Fashion Merchandising.

It's time for an awkward date night! Which look is cuter: Elle's pink "engagement" dress or Barbie's bonfire look?

Barbie wears a powder-pink jumpsuit to take back Barbie World, and Elle wears a powerful pink dress with a glittery belt to win her case. Who's pink outfit works best?

Finally, it's time for my two favourite outfits in either movie. On the left, we've got Barbie's first beach outfit - a gingham minidress with a scalloped hem, accessorised with a plastic shell necklace and matching earrings. On the right, we have Elle's sparkly pink bralette worn under a pink faux-fur jacket, accessorised with dark pink sunglasses. Who's your pick?
