Today is World Book Day, and The Queen is celebrating!
Happy #WorldBookDay everyone! I'm celebrating by writing a book.
And by "Queen" we mean J.K. Rowling, who took a break from writing the aforementioned book when she noticed that people were tweeting pics of their kids dressed as famous book characters and immediately set out RTing the best pictures of kids' Harry Potter costumes.
Such as this adorable Harry Potter:
It's @WorldBookDayUK Huge excitement in school playgrounds across the country! #myharrypotter @jk_rowling
And this ~flawless~ Hermione Granger:
one very excited Hermione for #WorldBookDay2015 @jk_rowling
Rowling even shared a little Hagrid:
How cute is Hagrid? #WorldBookDay
And Sybill Trelawney and Minerva McGonagall, pal-ing around:
McGonagall&Trelawney can be friends!! #WorldBookDay #HarryPotter @jk_rowling
It was clear that J.K. Rowling was having a blast:
I love these pictures! I couldn't be more proud of our new generation of Harrys, Rons, Hermiones and Hagrids. #WorldBookDay
But then, just when you thought things couldn't get cuter, Rowling stepped up her RT game and started including pets:
And finally, because, you know, it's the internet... #WorldBookDayForDogs
Even the Dog-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named got some love from the famous author:
Not all dogs are good...some are dark lords. #WorldBookDayForDogs @jk_rowling
Not to mention the Cat Who Lived:
@jk_rowling This cat loves Harry Potter too. The boy who lived is very famous... #WorldBookDayForCats
Well played, J.K., well played:
I'd just decided I'd retweeted enough dogs when...
