Stop expecting to get different results if you're not taking different actions. Anything can change if you truly want it to, but you have to be actively pursuing change. You don't need to completely flip your life upside down, although you can if you want to, but even baby steps will get you somewhere. Change is difficult and confusing, but making excuses for why things aren't going your way won't make anything better. Take responsibility and take that first step.

If nothing changes, then nothing changes

We constantly worry about what other people are thinking about us, if they're looking at us, judging us, whispering about us. The truth is, everyone is so involved in themselves that they really don't care about whatever perceived flaws you think everyone is noticing. Avoiding things out of fear of being judged is only hurting yourself and making you lose out on life. You have to realize that everyone has their own lives and problems and that any whispered conversations or pointed looks that you see are almost never about you.

No one cares as much as you do

So many of us tend to avoid telling people "no" out of fear of being perceived as rude or selfish or to avoid displeasing someone. This leads to being forced into doing things that we don't actually want to do, just because we think that we *should* do it. When you constantly tell people "yes," you may think that you're just being helpful, but what you're really doing is teaching people that they can take advantage of you. When you learn to say "no," you show you know your value and respect yourself enough to stand up for your beliefs.

It's okay and necessary to say "no"

It's so easy to hold hate against someone who's hurt you. You dwell on the negative feelings and allow them to form a grudge filled with hostility, resentment, and sometimes a desire for revenge. Although the person who hurt you may not deserve forgiveness, you need to learn how to forgive them for your own happiness. When you're unforgiving, it affects your mental and physical health and prevents you from living life to the fullest. By learning to forgive, you stop defining yourself as the victim and start moving forward.
