As a little country of just 23 million people, Taiwan has always had a frail and meagre presence in the international arena. But on the internet, it’s a different matter entirely: Taiwan has the highest Facebook usage rate of any country in Asia.

So, they decided to appropriate a key word the whole world knows – “MIT”!

For non-Taiwanese, “MIT” means “Massachusetts Institute of Technology.”
