Muslims Do The Last Supper
Every year, my close group of Muslim friends, most of whom were raised by immigrant parents from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh host an annual Friendsgiving. Also every year, we take a family photo to commemorate the occasion. This year, we thought it would be a great idea to reenact Da Vinci's masterpiece, The Last Supper. While this was a painting ordinarily depicting a white Jesus, sitting among his white disciples, we thought it would be interesting to mimic this iconic work with faces that reflect a more diverse world. #akhrisupper Photographer: Atif Ateeq (www.atifateeq.com)
