    This Child Sexual Abuse Survivor Spoke About Her Ordeal And It Was Heartbreaking

    Meena was raped for rejecting a marriage proposal, and pushed to the point of contemplating suicide.

    This is Meena, the second child sexual abuse survivor to speak up about her experiences for the "The Survivor Chronicles" series.

    “The Survivor Chronicles” is a new series by the Bachpan Bachao Andolan where adult survivors of sexual abuse talk about the trauma they endured. Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi laid the foundation of the child rights movement Bachpan Bachao Andolan in 1980 in India.

    Meena moved to Sonipat, Haryana, in hopes of working as domestic help. She wasn't allowed to contact her family, and her employer physically abused her regularly. A man in Sonipat proposed to her and raped her when she refused to marry him. The sexual abuse continued for two whole years and Meena couldn't go home. She was pushed to the point of contemplating suicide.
