Some people have taken it a step further.

Hey @TheRealAsswolf want some Forbidden Fruit Pizza (hint: it ain’t pineapple!!)

And are doing this (don't do this).

Y’all ever just get the urge to eat a tide pod?

BuzzFeed spoke to a 16-year-old who can't be identified as her parents asked her to take down a video of her eating a Tide pod.

The video of her biting into a Tide pod had over 800,000 views before she removed it.

She said the topic came up in her group chat and she didn't know that it was a meme.

"I’m not too sure how the subject came up, but we started talking about what would be satisfying to bite into," she said.

"One of the suggestions was a Tide pod. So I decided to try it and send the video to just the group. I saved the video out of habit and once people started to open it they hoped that I saved it.

"I decided that since my friends got a kick out of it, I might as well tweet it."

She said it tasted like what you imagine laundry detergent would taste like and that she would not recommend it.

"I wasn’t scared because I knew I wasn’t going to swallow it. Just bite into it. And I washed my mouth out for quite some time afterwards."

She added, "I didn’t waste it, I spit it out into the washing machine and proceeded to wash my towels and sheets with it."

A spokesperson for Tide told BuzzFeed News that its laundry pacs are only meant to clean clothes.

They said, "Nothing is more important to us than the safety of the people who use our products.

"Our laundry pacs are a highly concentrated detergent meant to clean clothes and they’re used safely in millions of households every day. They should only be used to clean clothes and kept up, closed and away from children.

"We have been consistently proactive in providing consumers with the right usage guidance and tools to enable them to use the product safely."
