So Kanye West Has Released A New Song And He's Talking About Running For President Again

"I was in the sunken place and then I found the new me."

After trolling people with the surprise song "Lift Yourself", Kanye West has officially released "Ye vs. the People", which is a conversation between him and fellow rapper T.I.

The song premiered on the radio on Friday night and if you follow Kim Kardashian's Snapchat you can see John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, and Kris Jenner listening to it at their house. Yes, that John Legend.

Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey also posted a link to the song on Apple music with no context.

The song opens with Kanye rapping: "I know Obama was Heaven-sent. But ever since Trump won, it proved that I could be President."

This takes everyone back to Kanye's 2015 VMA's speech where he announced plans to run for president in 2020.

And people actually didn't mind the idea of that Kanye being President, especially after Trump got elected. Someone even made a campaign video.

In the new song T.I. represents the voice of "the people" and Kanye addresses everything he has been tweeting about. In case you haven't been on Kanye's Twitter lately, he has – among many other things – voiced his love for Trump, which Trump said was "very cool".

Thank you Kanye, very cool! https://t.co/vRIC87M21X

Kanye also shared this picture of him wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.

The new song goes like this:

    Kanye:

I feel an obligation to show people new ideas / And if you wanna hear them, there go two right here/ Make America Great Again had a negative reception/ I took it, wore it, rocked it, gave it a new direction / Added empathy, care, and love and affection / And y'all simply questioning my methods / What you willing to lose for the point to be proved.

    T.I. (the people):

This shit is stubborn, selfish, bullheaded, even for you / You wore a dusty ass hat to represent the same views / As white supremacy, man, we expect better from you / All them times you sounded crazy, we defended you homie / Not just to be let down when we depend on you homie / That's why it's important to know what direction you're going now / Cause everything that you built can be destroyed and torn down

And, finally, Kanye rapped about coming out the sunken place: "I was in the sunken place and then I found the new me."

do this look like the sunken place 😂
