The dance comes from musical group NSG who are based in the UK.

The group is made up of MJ, Mojo, Dope, Kruddz, Papii Abz and OGD.

Kruddz told BuzzFeed News that they got the dance from a group called Hope Dealers who did a similar move in their song Trap Mash. He said: "The dance is quite wavy, so we put our little twist and spin to it in our video ‘Options’ and it went crazy and now the world thinks it’s NSG’s dance."

NSG said that they always had a feeling it would go viral but they never expected it to come with a dance challenge.

Papii Abz said: "Of course, this song was always going viral from the start." Kruddz added: "From time we said if we heard a song and were dancing straight away, if all our friends were dancing the world is going to dance."

When they saw it becoming a challenge, they said: "Everyone’s just having fun with it and they’re just putting it out there on the hashtag that says challenge just to show people that we’re vibes-ing to the song."

People have gone to great lengths to take part in the Options Challenge.

Talking about their favourite viral videos, they generally said they couldn't choose. But Kruddz said: "Probably the Bethnal one, that one went mad - the original viral girls from Bethnal, big up."

For people who discover NSG through the options challenge, NSG want people to know that they have been working hard for six years.

They said: "Don’t stop grinding, non-stop growth, non-stop grinding, because we’ve been grafting for six years, six solid years, obviously we go in we’re doing our thing but it’s only fully fully paying off now.

"So you don’t stop, you never know when you’re getting that breakthrough. It can be tomorrow, it can be next year, it can be ten years but if you believe in your grind."

When BuzzFeed asked what's next for NSG and they said "greatness."

NSG said they came across BTS recently and see the k-pop market as their competition.

They said, "World is K-pop things. That’s who we see as our competition, we look at the k-pop bands we look at the views and we see this is competition, and we’re keen to pass join and pass them."
