Harry Potter Fans Are Raising Their Wands For John Hurt, Who Played Ollivander

Fans and co-stars have been paying heartfelt tributes to the late, great actor.

John Hurt, who has died aged 77, played Garrick Ollivander, a famous wandmaker in the Harry Potter series.

Hurt appeared in the first film of the series, Philosopher's Stone, and in the final two, Deathly Hallows Parts One And Two.

Fans online started make calls to raise their wands in memory of Hurt.

Fans gathered in front of Ollivander's wand shop at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to raise their wands in memory of the British actor.
