A Widely Circulated Photo From The Protests In Turkey Is Actually From A Marathon
Don’t believe everything you see on the Internet.
1. This photo of a packed bridge was said to be taken of anti-government protestors in Turkey who have been demonstrating in Istanbul this week. It was shared widely on Twitter and Reddit.
2. But it’s actually not from the protests or even from 2013. The photo can actually be found in a post on a forum about the 2012 Intercontinental Istanbul Eurasia Marathon.
