Morrissey has cancelled the remainder of his North American tour, citing health reasons, according to a statement.
“The remaining dates of the Morrissey U.S. North American tour have officially been pulled down due to medical reasons,” the statement reads. “The singer has suffered a series of medical mishaps over the past few months including a bleeding ulcer, Barrett’s esophagus and double pneumonia.”
The singer had 23 shows remaining on his tour. Several shows had been cancelled already this year.
The statement indicated although Morrissey had made his “best efforts” to continue touring, he would be taking a hiatus.
