We Challenged An Artist To Envision The Future Through Colour

No one can see the future, but artists can imagine it. To celebrate the futuristic colour-gradient HONOR 10 Lite, we asked one of our illustrators to let their imagination run wild.

Dating in the future means: holographic romance.

"In the future, with sky's-the-limit technology at our disposal, obviously one of the first things we'll want to revamp is our love lives. Instead of swiping right on a 2D app, you'll be able to pick your partner based on their hologram.

And first dates? VR technology is going to make them way more efficient. Instead of meeting up IRL for a drink, holographic versions of you and your potential mate will meet at a virtual bar. Because no one in the future wants to spend time and money on a crappy date."

And colourful floating cities.

"Populations are growing, especially in urban areas. And with changes to the global climate, it wont be long until we start looking to migrate away from our pale blue dot and into floating space cities."

"When the first mobiles arrived 40 years ago, they were as big as bricks and just as heavy — then as technology advanced, the trend moved towards making them microscopically small.

Jump to 2019: mobiles are huge again, though now decked out for the internet era with social media, powerful cameras, and multimedia functionality. Only time will tell what shape and role the humble phone will have in our lives as we dive head-first into the future."

Will our phones double as mega-sized flat-screen TVs that also fold down into small and neat pocket-sized devices? Sounds pretty good.

Telepathy will be a real thing...finally.

It's only a matter of time before scientists find a way to fuse our minds to our phones so that we can psychically send each other cat videos."
