Obama: "Women Are Not Some Monolithic Block"
So don't treat them that way, says the President. (And alright ladies, will you vote for me now?)
At this morning's White House Women and the Economy Forum, President Obama argued that "the conversation [about women] has been oversimplified."
"Women are not some monolithic block. Women are not an interest group," he added. "You shouldn't be treated that way." The room, full of women, (but not a monolithic block of them) erupted in applause.
