Good morning! What's the weather today?

A friend dropped off a gift! What do you hope it is?

Your friends want to do a fall-themed activity. What do you suggest?

All done - that was fun! On your way home, you stop for a hot drink. What do you get?

Time for dinner! What would you like?

How do you want to spend the evening?

How about a snack before bed?

Finally, which bed are you cozying up in?

This takes reading a book a step further by making it social - safely! Choose a good book and get a few friends together over Zoom for weekly meet-ups. It's safe, social, and a pretty cozy fall activity, especially on those rainy October days.

Start a book club

Time to take a hike - or even just a stroll around the neighborhood! A physical activity is a great way to engage in self-care, and breathing in the crisp fall air can be restorative. Pro-tip: stay close to home right now. It's a great time to do some research and explore some local trails - who knows? Maybe you'll find some gorgeous foliage just down the road.

Get outside

Fall is a great time to turn inward and get in touch with your thoughts and feelings. Taking some time to write in a journal can be really helpful! Don't feel like you have to write a novel - something as simple as listing five things you're grateful for or three things you want to achieve this week can be great.

Completing a task can really give your brain - and space - a boost! Sometimes a big deep-clean feels too daunting, but cleaning or organizing one small space can do wonders for your day. And fall is a great time to make sure your living or work space is ready for nesting. So take twenty minutes to tackle your junk drawer, closet, or coffee table - you deserve to live in a lovely space!

Fall is a season brimming with opportunities for creativity! You don't need a ton of supplies to create art - you could take some time in nature to sketch your surroundings, or write a short poem about your day. You could even carve pumpkins! Making time for yourself and your creativity is a great way to engage in self-care.

Taking the time to, well, take care of yourself is important! Make a meal or baked good that reminds you of a happy time - fall is a season full of nostalgia, and reconnecting with food that makes you feel calm is a great form of self care. From soups and stews to bread and muffins, fall is brimming with opportunities to make comforting, warming foods.
