Fire Pop Cauliflower

Could you handle the heat of this Fire Pop Cauliflower? Made even hotter with Heinz Seriously Good Peri Peri Spicy Mayonnaise.

Ingredients:

295ml Heinz Seriously Good Peri Peri Spicy Mayonnaise (available at Woolworths or Coles)

500g cauliflower florets, cut into bite-size pieces

1 ½ cups plain flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp cayenne pepper

White pepper, to season

2 eggs, lightly whisked

Vegetable oil, to deep fry

For the sauce:

½ cup chilli sauce

¼ cup dark soy sauce

2 tbsp honey

To garnish:

1 tbsp chives, chopped

2 tsp sesame seeds

Method:

STEP 1: To a large mixing bowl, add plain flour, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper, then mix.

STEP 2: Toss the cauliflower florets in the egg, then in the flour mixture.

STEP 3: Heat oil in a large deep pot to 180°C and fry cauliflower pieces in batches of 4-5 for 3 minutes, or until crispy and lightly browned. Set aside and blot-dry on paper towel, then add to a large mixing bowl.

STEP 4: To make sauce, combine the chilli sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, then drizzle over the cauliflower and toss until fully coated.

STEP 5: Add the Heinz Seriously Good Peri Peri Spicy Mayonnaise into a small ramekin.

STEP 6: Plate up the cauliflower on a serving dish of your choice, then sprinkle with chives and sesame seeds and get dipping in Heinz Seriously Good Peri Peri Spicy Mayonnaise.
