Prepare for a yard that'll look like it belongs on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens.
This device uses scent-free repellent mats using naturally occurring repellents found in plants to rid of mosquitoes.
Promising review: "It doesn't smell. It doesn't make noise. It doesn't get hot. It just clears the mosquitos and only mosquitoes! I am the person a mosquito will find from miles away even in my house. The only one they find in a room full of people. I live in a tropical climate and never have a moment's peace in my garden. I've used sprays, foggers, candles, torches, the list goes on. This is the first time I've been able to sit on my patio in peace, even the cat was safe. Already ordered another for a friend and put the refills on subscribe and save." —J&J

Promising review: "I swear by these plant food spikes!!! The package says they are for indoor plants, but I actually use them for all of my outdoor plants, especially my herbs. I first tried these after planting some basil and other herbs that seemed to be taking an eternity to grow. I figured I'd give them a try since they were so inexpensive and wow!!!!! Within just a few days, my plants had grown more than double what they had grown in the previous several weeks!! One of my friends (who also enjoys gardening) came over to my house and was in awe of how big and healthy all of my herbs were. When I told her about these spikes, she went straight from my house to purchase some and had the exact same growth results." —GatorDO17

Promising review: "I use this on so many of my plants — indoors and out. Outside in spring, this holds iris blooms off the ground when the buds are too heavy for the stems to hold up. After blooming, it holds all the leaves back so nearby plants can get some sun. It holds my heavy monstera leaves up and the aerial roots close to the moss pole. When you give pothos vines something to climb up, the leaves will grow bigger and faster and this works so great for that purpose. Best of all-it somewhat blends in, and it’s gentle on stems and aerial roots. I will continue to buy this every time I run out. Absolutely recommended!" —Christina Johnson

Reviewers mention it's worth using this product with a water hammer arrester.
Promising review: "After trying other brands, this Orbit water timer is the best in my book! Along with a clock, it has many programable functions, and includes detailed, easy-to-follow instructions. It also has a manual override capability, all connections can be made without tools, and it takes standard AA batteries. My last one lasted three years — and it worked flawlessly, without any leaks in every season. I only replaced it because of my own negligence. Because it's plastic, it has to be taken inside before the first winter 'freeze' or any water inside will turn to ice and expand the plastic. This damages the case and seals, rendering it useless. I totally forgot about the timer this year and suffered the consequences." —RWHPI

Promising review: "The pictures don't do these justice. At night my backyard looks like a scene from Avatar. The light itself is not bright, but the colors are very vibrant and intense. The color transition is gradual and glowing. They are hypnotic to watch. During the day they are unobtrusive and don't look too fake or artificial. The green leaves are very bendable, the stems of the flowers are somewhat pliable, and the cloth that makes up the petals can be smoothed and manipulated a bit so you can make them look different and more realistic. I've had them for a couple of weeks and so far they are performing perfectly. They are simply beautiful and we love them!" —Zavanna

Promising review: "Power washer was delivered Monday, it’s Wednesday and I have washed two cars, cleaned the driveway and sidewalks, cleaned the back fence, and the work keeps piling up, everything I see now needs to be cleaned! This little dude does not back down, plenty of power and it's surprisingly not too loud. Soap dispensers work great, and the tips are easy to change." —Mar

I got the EZClean ONE+ for my home and am excited to give it a test run as we prepare our yard for the summer. I'll be using it to clean our fence, brick patio, and the side of the house. However, I like that it as the ability to add the attachments on to tackle all kinds of yard problems as well. We looooove a versatile tool!
Promising review: "This washer is outstanding. Very easy to use and has a generous work time when using a 4 Ah battery. Not nearly as powerful as a full size pressure washer which I prefer since high powered pressure washers can strip the paint off of a vehicle. Much more powerful than a regular garden hose with a spray attachment. Makes car washing a breeze and can be hooked up directly to a hose or from a bucket with the included siphon filter. Great buy for the price." —Perry

Promising review: "I installed this around my fruit trees and hooked it to a hose timer so when we go on vacation they will get their daily watering. It has a nice steady drip and so far the fruit trees are thriving. We live in the desert SW and when it's over 100 daily they need a good soak. I buried the hose just under the surface and mulched with rock to keep it shaded so that it will last longer. So far it is working great!" —b4dawn

It also comes with a measuring stick called a dibbler that pushes down the dirt to the correct depth for you to drop your seeds. The holes are color coded to let you know exactly where to plant seeds of different varieties.
Promising review: "Love this thing! I have been gardening for a while and this takes all of the guess work out of spacing. I used this for the first time this spring using the planting chart/guide and it has worked out perfectly. I have had little to no weeds (I mean come on, you're gonna get some weeds). Planting per the Seed Square will for the most part choke out the weeds, while promoting growth for the plants. I even used this to plant growing plants and not just seeds. Just put the square on the ground used the stick to mark the spot and dug a hole where it was marked. Simple enough. Would highly recommend. Super easy!" —Jennifer Geisel

Made with a bamboo handle and powder-coated steel, it uses a simple lever system to made weeding easy.
Promising review: "Oh my god, I friggin' love this tool. I bought this on a whim given we bought our first house and know nothing about caring for a yard. Boy has it come in handy. Our new house had a ton of weeds in the front yard and this tool helped me get most of them out in no time. In fact, the process of yanking out the weed was strangely satisfying! I don't think anyone can say that weeding is fun but this tool made it as close to fun as you can get, especially when you see a long root along with the weed you pulled." —JG

I have a similar shed from Keter I plan to put in my own backyard. I've done a lot of research on sturdy, reliable sheds, and this brand is where I've landed! I can't speak to my experience just yet, but the delivery and packaging of the product was *so* seamless and secure I can't imagine the product itself will be any less impressive.
Promising review: "This shed went together in about three hours. Very easy to use the hot dog size fasteners, instead of nuts and bolts. The shelf bracket supplied added a lot of extra storage space with a 12" wide shelf (provide your own wood). I needed outdoor storage for propane and gasoline. It's light enough to move it if you need to relocate it. Built a wood base similar to a palette for support" —Bruce S.

Let me tell you, having an entire yard to maintain is no joke. I'm on the hunt for the perfect lawn mower and this one is my top contender. It also kinda looks really fun??? If we're going to be adulting it might as well be a good time, amiright?
Promising review: "Was nicer than I had anticipated. It will take a few times to get used to the controls and the zero turn, but it was manageable first attempt. It took me an hour and 20 minutes with my normal mower and about 25 minutes with this. It is pretty fast. Overall, I love it!" —Jperk

Promising review: "WOW!!! This is the fourth grass clipper I've had — all different brands. This is BY FAR the best! The blades cut well, it's easy to turn on and off (you don't need to be a contortionist or use two hands), fits nicely in my hand, and the battery lasts far longer than any other cutter I've had. I can't tell you how pleased I am! Highly recommend this. Haven't tried the trimmer yet, but can't imagine it not being just as great! SO glad I bought this." —suezieqt

This device has two needles to ensure accuracy and doesn't require batteries. Just push it 2 to 4 inches into the ground and select what you want to test for.
Promising review: "I ordered this a couple of weeks ago and it has proven to be a lifesaver. I sometimes overwater my plants and some are in pots with no drainage holes. So I wanted this to avoid those mistakes. It's awesome. I first tried my spider plant who should have been thirsty, it read on the dry side. I then checked with my fingers and sure enough it was dry as a bone. Then I checked my Pilea peperomioides, who I just watered yesterday, and read wet. I don't know if you're as concerned as me, but I feel very happy that my plant babies are getting the amount of water they need. This is a definite recommend. I'll be sure to send this link to a few plant-owners I know. Thanks!" —Samantha

Me and my husband's new home has all kinds of chaos happening in regards to the backyard (and side yard, TBH). It's inevitable that we're going to have to trim a TON of wild branches and bushes and I, honestly, can't think of a more fun way to do that than with a chainsaw. This one is highly reviewed and we have it on-deck to tackle the plethora of backyard-cleaning tasks ahead of us. And who doesn't like power tools?! The added bonuses of this one is that it's battery charged (no gas!) so it's more environmentally friendly and owning one of these will cut you costs on hiring gardeners or tree-trimming service down the road. The battery lasts for about five hours before it needs to be charged again.
Promising review: "I've had a chance to use it extensively while clearing out a couple dozen mature nuisance hackberry trees. I find it easy to use and has no problem cutting full grown trees all day long. All I've got to do is make sure the chain is tight, the oil is full and the battery charged. When I got tired and had to take a break, the chainsaw was patiently waiting to get back to work. It pulls all day like a gas saw without the loud noise and fuel issues. I recommend this chainsaw without reservation." —GaryG

Promising review: "I have a small urban patio that is abundant with pots growing my summer produce. For years I have had a bulky garden hose that I had to unwind and wind up every time I used it and had a tendency to kink. This 25-inch hose is perfect. Once the water is on, it expands to just the amount of length I need to water all my plants, then when I am finished, it is short enough that I don't have to wind it. There is zero kinking. I just hook the nozzle on my old holder. The sprayer is great because you can adjust the pressure coming out of the hose, which is especially clutch in the spring when the plants are just starting to sprout. Turn off the hose a little before you are finished watering. That gets the excess water out and leaves you with easy storage." —Angle

We will be purchasing more." —susan osako

Promising review: "These are the best knee pads I have ever used, for sure. Nice and soft feeling. They allow me stay on my knees for an extended period of time without getting uncomfortable. I have worn them for 9-hour working days without any issues with fit, adjustment, or comfort. If you put them in place they will stay in place. They have great cushioning and are very comfortable, but in my opinion what really makes them better than most other knee pads on the market is the fact that they have two adjustable straps with slip buckles instead of one of the straps being Velcro. You can attach them very easily and because you’re able to tighten them better than velcro, they will stay in place. The straps are of good elasticity, so they won’t start hurting you even when they are really tight." —Shannon Huett

Promising review: "Wrapped this piece of greenery around our wrought iron gate — it was just, just big enough to cover both sides, from top to bottom. Secured it in numerous spots using cable ties (bought extras in addition to what came in the package with the greenery) and used lots of them. Haven't had any trouble with it drooping, falling away from the gate, etc. It has enough give to allow you to pull it a bit tighter or let it be a bit slack — just be sure to attach it well with cable ties. Given that it is doubly thick, the coverage is really good -- provides a great deal of privacy yet looks really nice. Very happy with this purchase." —Honestopinions

I still have almost an entire bottle left. It’s so easy to spray, and I didn’t have the same trigger issue as others. It was so easy and quick. It’s a rich, VERY deep brown, much more elegant than straight black. Please make sure you wear a mask; you don’t want to breath this stuff in." —C. Sculpher

My dad had been battling it out with a mole for MONTHS before he got one of these bad boys. His prized possession has always been his lush, green lawn, so when a mole started tunneling through it he was not pleased. After installing these stakes he was able to claim back his grass (and his pride).
Promising review: "We are planning a big garden for this year and already have noticed moles around my greenhouse. We got these to ward off any potential underground vegetable thieves. These emit a high-frequency sound that only rodents can hear that sends them away. They are solar-powered and charge thru the day while they work to keep varmints out and at night they work from the stored up solar power. These are thick and durable plastic. They are simple to use. These are an affordable and safe way to get rid of pesky rodents without dangerous chemicals." —Amanda & Desiree

Promising review: "I purchased these as a gift for my mother who gardens extensively. She thanked me again for them today declaring that these were the best pruners she has ever owned (she has been at it over 50 years). She cuts the branches off her trees and shrubs, then further trims them into small sections to fit in the recycle trash bags. It is her great joy to work in the yard made even my pleasant through the use of these pruners." —A. Kelly

Promising review: "Winter. I'm not talking twigs. I'm talking large branches. It made my tidy wood pile into a brush pile. These things made quick work of everything it could get its teeth around in short order. It's amazing how quickly and easily it could cut through every branch, wet or dry. You don't need much strength to use them either, as they offer plenty of leverage. The design is perfect. I cannot recommend these enough. A great purchase!" —Truth in American History

My cousin put some of this in the small fenced-in area we hang out in in front of her apartment in Queens and it's been surprisingly great. It's easy to install, is environmentally friendly, and a loooot less work.
Promising review: "We love it! We tried growing grass in our tiny backyard, but our dog was destroying it with his acid pee faster than we could repair it, and the grass only grew in patches. So we decided to line the yard and patio with river rock and put this artificial grass in the middle, and we couldn't be happier! It looks so colorful and clean, and no more brown spots! Very easy to clean off, drains well, and so far has stayed in place." —ProudMommy1
