Where are my One Tree Hill fans at!? Just kidding — there's so much more to see.
Every time I step into this store I know I'm going to spend money. There are just so many fun things you don't need but definitely will want! The atmosphere is great, the employees are helpful but not pushy, and they always have a new selection of items each time I pop in.
I kicked off my 27th birthday with an iced coffee from Bespoke — an excellent decision. I loved the vibe (and the fact they're located on Princess Street) and how they only provided sustainable straw options.
With sandwich options like "Jurassic Pork" and "Home Alone" and an entire salad menu themed around Fresh Prince characters, you can't go wrong with this lunch spot.
Depending on when you visit you can pick winter berries, spring strawberries, blueberries, or tunnel grown blackberries. They also sell homemade ice cream (!!!), honey, and jams.
In addition to the convention, you can also track down the spot where Nathan gave Haley her iconic Cracker Jack Box bracelet (see the recreation above) and take yourself on a walking tour of memorable show locations. In The Black Cat Shoppe on Market Street you can glance at signed photos from the cast and pick up some OTH merch (though many of the surrounding stores sell shirts/hats/sweatshirts as well!).
I've also had the pleasure of trying the apple fritter, which was literally the size of my face, and haven't stopped thinking about it since.
In addition to craft cocktails, wine, and mules, Cloud 9 serves delectable light bites like lobster rolls, street tacos, and a Carolina rock shrimp dip.
Located in Downtown Wilmington, Front Street Brewery offers over 400 bottles of whiskey, over 25 sandwiches, and 34 entrees. There will definitely be something for everyone you're traveling with.
While I love living in New York, I always say my favorite part about visiting Wilmington is that I can actually see the stars at night and take a breath of fresh ocean air. Nature really gets a chance to shine at Wrightsville Beach. Pack a lunch, bring a chair, and settle in.
You never know, you might just kickstart your very own love story RIGHT HERE.
...and the coffee is freakin' delicious! This wonderful store celebrates diversity and, honestly, you'll just be so glad you went. Take my word for it. It's a good idea, OK!?
Helllloooo history buffs! This awesome ship is open every day of the year (even holidays) so planning a trip here should be a breeze. Adult admission is $14 while children cost $6 (unless they're under age 5, then they're free!). The ship was used in World War II and has nine levels for visitors to explore.
They also have awesome merch that'll make for a great souvenir! My husband and my sister both bought shirts and stickers on our last visit. Added bonus? It's run by a husband and wife, which is just precious.
In my opinion, a vacation isn't complete until you've checked out the local bookstore. This when feels like home as soon as you enter it. Just step through the door and take a deep breath — the books will do the rest.
Established in 1984, Jackson's Big Oak Barbecue will satisfy all of your southern food cravings. The pork is slow cooked every night and, my gosh, you can tell. My mouth is salivating just thinking about the hush puppies dipped in honey. Don't even get me STARTED on the mac 'n' cheese. You can even buy a bottle of their homemade barbecue sauce to take home.
