    1. Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser and Polish to bring the grungy-looking tub in your rental apartment back to its true form — a clean one.

    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "This stuff is like magic! Straight-up wizardry. I love it! I initially bought it to clean my sink, which is porcelain and even though it's not even a year old, is just holding on to all the coffee- and tea-staining. I'd say it took less than a minute after making a paste with Bar Keepers Friend to clean the sink up to a nearly new shine. Taking a look at the can its easy to find bunches of ways to use this stuff and each application is better than the last. Stainless steel, porcelain, ceramic, copper, brass, fiberglass, Corian, chrome and aluminum. See? Magic! Anyhow, I've used it in the sink, in the bathroom, to clean stainless steel pots and pans on a 17-year-old Revereware tea kettle (which I thought would never be restored to its former loveliness, BTW). This is a product that I will buy again and again and will happily recommend to anyone." —Nicci Stephenson

Get it from Amazon for $6.88.

    2. A splurge-worthy Dyson vacuum that'll help you attempt to tackle the never-ending influx of hair, fuzz, and dust that threatens to take over every crevice of your home.

    amazon.com, Amazon

Honestly, no matter which version of the Dyson stick vacuum you purchase, I can promise you'll be satisfied with the results. I've used a variety of 'em and I can't say enough good things about the product. It doesn't hurt my back to use for an extended period of the time, the battery lasts long enough to clean my entire apartment, and it simply just WORKS. We have ours mounted in a narrow spot alongside our fridge — it's really easy to keep in plain sight without being an eyesore.

Promising review: "I love this vacuum. The V10 doesn't disappoint. While it's weird to get used to holding this tiny piece of machinery, it really does an amazing job. It was incredible how much dog fur it picked up! I was pretty grossed out to be honest, to think I lived in this atmosphere for this long 'thinking' it was clean is nuts! I love all the attachments too, they are all top notch and well made. I feel like I can tackle my entire house with this bad boy. AND it's lightweight! I use it on the lowest setting and it still picks up a ton. I don't think I'll ever need the high or medium setting. But I did try the highest setting for a few seconds and literally felt like the vacuum was ATTACHED to the floor, that's how hard it sucked (in a good way)!" —Matthew Mintun

Get the V10 from Amazon for $349+ (available in three styles).

    3. A garbage-disposal foaming cleaner to scrub away the stinky grime that builds up on the blades and in the pipes.

    Amazon

    Look at that foam go!

Promising review: "It seems counterintuitive to put a little packet down your garbage disposal to clean it, but this does actually seem to work, at least for getting out weird smells that baking soda and vinegar don't really touch. I scrub the sink down first, especially around the garbage disposal area, rinse it down, and then just follow the directions on the package. I have used it with single, large-size sinks and with double sinks — only difference is that the double sink will have blue cleaning foam rise up the drain, which you rinse away when the disposal sounds clear again. I have tried the foaming cleaner in a can, but unfortunately it stopped coming out of the can about 10% of the way through. Went back to this tried-and-true." —KS

Get it from Amazon for $5.99.

    4. A cleaning pen, so all of your jewels (whether they're real or not) will be *so* sparkly that everyone will wonder where you got 'em from.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

This seemingly average little cleaning pen is filled with a high-performance formula that cleans jewelry like nothing I've ever experienced. It contains micro-fine cleansers, polishing agents, and a polymer that will make your gems so shiny they'll nearly blind you. I've used it on my diamond rings, but it also works wonders on my cubic zirconia earrings. Check out my full review of the Connoisseurs 1050 Diamond Dazzle Stick.

Promising review: "The center stone of my ring (an oval white sapphire) has been cloudy since shortly after I got it. I have to use a lot of hand sanitizer at work, which gets under the stone. This product was easy to use. The little brush gets under the stone really well (much better than a toothbrush). My ring looks like new." —FintanCat

Get it from Amazon for $8.17.

    5. A bottle of wood polish and conditioner that'll have your antiques, cabinets, and tables gleaming like you just had them delivered for the first time.

    amazon.com, Amazon

Promising review: "This stuff is absolutely AMAZING. My wife and I were getting tired of looking at our worn-out cabinets and wood paneling and were very close to paying a professional thousands of dollars to refinish it all, but then we came across this product. Our paneling and cabinets were looking rough. We have two dogs that jumped up and scratched places, we also had an area that was damaged by water spots where our dog bowls were, and several other areas that were just worn from heavy traffic. This stuff was like a Magic Eraser for water spots, scratches, scuffs, and any other blemish. We simply wiped the product on with a paper towel and let it sit for 20 minutes before wiping it off with a clean towel. Everything looks brand new. I'm buying a couple more so we can finish our cabinets and wood paneling. We're so glad we found this product." —Kris

Get it from Amazon for $8.48+ (available in 8 oz, 16 oz, and 128 oz)

    6. A PhoneSoap UV sanitizer you can toss your phone into for a quick 10 minutes after you get home to get rid of the grime that's surely lurking around.

    Amazon, amazon.com

I have one of these bad boys and can validate that it is SO easy to use. I pop my phone into it when I get in the shower and click the lil' button on the front to start the cleaning process. You can also charge your phone while it's inside the machine. Fellow germaphobes — you can thank me later.

Promising review: "Bought this along with a set of agar plates to test it for ourselves. We swabbed my daughter's and husband's phones before and after use. It does work. We are very happy with the product." —Ginger

Get it from Amazon for $79.95+ (available in nine colors).

    7. A grout cleaner to keep your tub and shower squeaky clean and as inviting as a five-star spa.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "We recently bought an old house that had last been renovated in 2006. In that time the shower did not get much cleaning and had some mold growth, especially around the seals. We tried using bleach and other mold remover products with partial success. After one application of this one, the mold was gone." —Darryl Campbell

Get it from Amazon for $12.99.

    8. All-natural biodegradable cleaning tablets that'll remove tough stains and odors from your favorite reusable water bottle — no more "does this water taste weird?" moments.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "Finished using it five minutes ago and it’s the best! My husband uses a Stanley thermos daily to take coffee to work. He tries to remember to rinse it out every day, but that doesn’t always happen. I got the package today, filled the thermos with water, dropped in a tablet, and let it sit. I promptly forgot about it for a few hours. Initially, I was disappointed when I dumped the water, as it was barely tinged brown. Then I put fresh water in, covered the top, shook it, and OMG. The crap that came out was disgusting, yet fascinating. I looked in the thermos and saw almost nothing but sparkly silver! There was a little crud left in the top third of the thermos, but it’s a really tall one, so I wasn’t surprised. Got the bottle brush, swished twice, and bam! All clean! No fumes, no smell, no nothing, just clean. I used to struggle cleaning it with baking soda, vinegar, the brush, soap, and elbow grease. Screw that. I will forever use only these tablets! Here’s to better tasting (and way less gross) coffee!" —BranchingOut

Get it from Amazon for $8+ (available in packs of 12 or 36).

    9. A makeup brush–cleaning shampoo, because — shocker — you need to clean those!

    Heather Braga / BuzzFeed

After reading about how necessary it is to actually clean your makeup brushes (I know, I KNOW, I should’ve been doing this for years) I was super grossed out and motivated to order the right supplies to do the job. I’ve heard good things about Ecotools makeup brush cleansing shampoo so I figured I’d start there. The Amazon listing also suggested buying a silicone makeup brush cleaning pad to go with it so I figured... why not? Well, now I’m patting myself on the back because ordering these two items was a GAME-CHANGER!

I could not believe how much residue came off my brushes in just one cleaning. You only need to use a little dab of the shampoo, so one bottle will definitely last a long time. The silicone pad made it super easy to thoroughly lather the brushes without leaving my bathroom sink in shambles. I also loved how each section was labeled with which brush should be cleaned in each area. My brushes look brand new! Don’t hesitate like I did — buy both the shampoo and the mat ASAP.

Get it from Amazon for $4.79+ (available in a pack of two or as cleansing cloths).

    10. A box of washing machine–cleaning tablets that'll easily remove any odor-causing residue from inside your machine.

    amazon.com

You can use this product on both front-load and top-load washing machines.

Promising review: "I have been using bleach to clean my machine for some time but decided to give this a try a few months ago. My very first clean with Affresh left me surprised and delighted, for not only did it clean my machine, it eliminated the nasty smell that always transferred to my clothes thanks to a buildup of mold I didn't even know about. Every month now, I toss a tablet into the drum and let it work its magic. Now my machine is cleaner than ever, and my clothes always smell wonderfully fresh. I highly recommend this to everyone." —Kelli Crawford

Get it from Amazon for $11.98.

    11. Environmentally friendly dishcloths made of cellulose and cotton you can use to clean your counters, stovetops, dishes, shower doors, and mirrors — and they come in fun designs!

    Amazon

Promising review: "These are awesome and I don’t know why I didn’t learn to use these in the kitchen and bathroom ages ago. They wipe down countertops, sinks and everything leaving hardly any water behind and pick up even the smallest of debris, lint etc. These are great quality." —Shopper56

Get a set of three from Amazon for $12.63+ (available in 12 styles).

    12. Granite and stone cleaner that'll leave your counters sparkling like Cinderella herself spent the night scrubbing them before heading off to the ball.

    Amazon

This product works wonderfully on granite, marble, soapstone, quartz, quartzite, slate, limestone, corian, laminate, and tile counters.

Promising review: "My absolute favorite product for my countertops. They are almost impossible to keep clean (they are a matte black color) every other cleaner leaves nasty looking streaks. Weimans plus a microfiber cloth leaves them polished and beautiful. I am so happy I found this stuff!" —Cherish O.

    13. A red-wine stain remover, so the next time a contestant does something wild on The Bachelor it won't matter that you spilled your vino all over brand new couch.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I'm sure if I knew more about science and chemistry, I'd understand how this stuff works — but since I don't, I'll just assume that it is MAGIC. If you care at all about your carpet, you need to have a bottle of this on standby. Over the years, we've used it to make numerous wine and red juice stains vanish before our eyes. The effect reminds me of the novelty shop disappearing ink gag from when I was a kid. Seriously, if you've never seen Wine Away in action, it's worth spilling a little Cabernet on your carpet just so you can see it vanish after a few spritzes. I honestly wouldn't believe how quickly this stuff works had I not seen it countless times with my own eyes." —DarthClem

Get it from Amazon for $6.67.

    14. A pet hair remover with a unique patented brush design, so you'll be able to invite guests to sit down without fear of them being covered head-to-toe in your dog's hair.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "We live in a household that contains two humans, two dogs, and two cats. It's a real Noah's Ark furnished with a black sectional couch. Our dogs absolutely hate the vacuum. So much so they will attack the cleaner head with their vicious bite even before we power it on. This makes the task of cleaning our couch extremely unpleasant and nearly impossible. Thanks to Chom Chom, we no longer have this problem! With a simple, quick, SOUNDLESS sweep, we're able to keep our couch pet hair–free in blissful peace. This tool does an amazing job picking up pet hair but not so much with crumbs. We were so impressed, we gifted these as Christmas presents for all of our pet-loving friends." —Magpie

Promising review: "After reading the reviews I thought I could at least try it, and holy smokes, this is a miracle cleaner!!! I think I have tried every cleaner on the market for pet stains and nothing ever really works on my carpets. Even if I get it off the top, it somehow comes back up. My crazy dogs hate the rain and they have one spot that they always go on when they decide they are not going outside. I have cleaned the spot probably 100 times. I cleaned this area one time with this cleaner and my spot steam cleaner and it is completely gone! The stain and smell are 100% gone, not just covered up like before, completely and absolutely gone. Miracle cleaner for sure!" —PLLane

Get it from Amazon for $19.97

    16. A deep-cleaning brush set, essential for helping you get the grime out of your grout, shower doors, and other hard-to-reach spaces.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, these brushes! I usually used tooth brushes to help me get a good clean in small areas, but I found myself really having to scrub with them which did damage to the brushes. And when that happened, the brushes were then no good to me. I was moving out of my old house and had to get it cleaned to Military Specs as it was base housing, and I needed something to really help me get it cleaned. I found this brushes and thought those might help me with the grouted areas, so for $6 I thought it couldn't hurt. As soon as I started using them, I just couldn't stop! I used them for grout, corners, cabinets, hard to reach places around my kitchen/bathroom faucets, around the base of my toilets, the inside of my windows, you name it and I cleaned it with them! I have already recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so. These are one of my new favorite cleaning tools. I LOVE them, and cannot praise them enough!!" —Katelynn C.

    19. OxiClean stain remover, a tried-and-true classic formula you can use to clean your clothes, carpets, and furniture.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "I feel fortunate to have found the 'powers' of OxiClean products in late 1980s. It was advertised on a TV infomercial and I was lured in by the promises of what it could do for carpets. I am hooked to this day by its results. Believe it or not, I recall the morning I first tried it. I ran upstairs and woke my husband with excitement. We had tried most every carpet cleaner on the market with no luck. It was amazing, cleaning stains that were in the carpet when we bought the home a year before. It works equally well on clothes and in the laundry. Bleach WAS my go-to on whites prior to, but reduced their life expectancy and would yellow over time. I was never happy with any stain-removing product for my colors until I found OxiClean. I haven't had the need to try any other in almost 30 years now." —Lady in Midlo

Get it from Amazon for $12.98.

    20. An OXO Good Grips squeegee that'll prevent water marks from drying on your glass shower door and give you the opportunity to pretend you're a badass window cleaner in a massive skyscraper.

    Amazon

I have this exact squeegee and it really does a fantastic job at keeping my shower squeaky clean.

Promising review: "The large suction cup that holds this squeegee in the shower works perfectly. And unlike many metal squeegees, this one is very lightweight, so it will not pull itself off the wall. The blade is strong enough to remove water from my shower doors, and wide enough to allow me to get each door in three easy swipes. For the longest time I resisted purchasing a squeegee, but realized that constantly scrubbing my shower doors to remove soap buildup is far too time-consuming. Using this squeegee does not prevent me from having to clean my shower, but it does allow me to take more time between cleans, as this little device alleviates most of the buildup that would occur. Overall, the squeegee does what it is intended to do — keep my glass shower doors looking clean and soap-scum-free." —Steven M.

    21. A steam mop, aka a germaphobe's dream because it'll sanitize your floors and remove tough stains at the same time.

Promising review: "This hardwood-floor mop is amazing. It is extremely lightweight yet sturdy. The water tank has lines on it to indicate how much water to add and how much product to add. It comes with an extra set of pads and two small bottles of all purpose cleaner. I chose to spray Bona on my hardwood floors and use the mop to buff the floor. I used the included all purpose cleaner on my tile floors. My hardwood floors have a very professional-looking shine after using this machine." —Bigred

    22. A ceramic cooktop cleaning kit that'll keep your stove looking brand new. Burnt-on grease? I don't know her.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "We, regrettably, had not properly cleaned our glass stove top for six months. We’d wipe and clean with generic products we had, but nothing removed the deep stains. It was not properly maintained by the previous tenants either, so I wasn’t hopeful we’d get it back to its original appearance. It looked horrible. My mom recommended this product to me and she uses it faithfully. With help of the razor, this product completely transformed our stovetop. It looks like it was just installed. I’m so happy and relieved. This will be a must-have item in our kitchen for years to come." —Amazon Customer

Sing it with meeee: 🎶 Mr Clean will clean your whole house and every room that's in itttttt 🎶.

Promising review: "I make sure we keep plenty of the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Cleaning Pads on hand. It is not a sponge. It is a dirt-and-grime lifter, and cleans surfaces like greasy stove tops, grayish grout, and slimy sink scum like nothing else. They do the jobs that a sponge can't. The evidence of its effectiveness is how quickly the pad loads up with hidden filth including lint, dust, and cat hair. The sponge sees dirt better than my eyes do, and for this, I trust Mr. Clean to get my surfaces sparkling and free from debris. If you use them as much as I do, you will go through a few of these Magic Erasers a week, but they're worth their muscle and have become an essential household helper." —Kort

    24. A water-bottle-cleaning set that includes three brushes to easily get inside those hard-to-clean crevices AND has a 4.8-star rating on Amazon.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "Finally, a long-handled brush that's not overly wide. I have a different 'water bottle' brush that is great, but the handle is so wide, I can't get it all the way into some bottles. This brush, not a problem. Plus, the thin brush works great for thick reusable straws (I have a set of steel straws and this cleans them well). And the rounded brush works great to scrub in the threads of the bottle lids (always a place crud gets trapped in). Good price, and so far, great brushes." —SammnIAmToo

    25. A jetted-tub cleaner, so you'll never find yourself soaking in filth while trying to catch up on your me-time.

    Amazon, amazon.com

I personally can vouch for how amazing this product is. I've watched with my own eyes as it magically clears out the gross-ness from my jetted tub's pipes. It's pretty disgusting and incredible.

Promising review: "My wife told me we had to really clean what appeared to a clean tub. We moved into a house where the previous home owners were not the best cleaners. She had me get this product based on reviews. My one complaint is the label needs to be bigger. OH YUK is not enough. OH YUK YOU MIGHT BARF might be better. I think someone had a bowel movement in my bathtub plumbing and this is the only product that takes it out. It appears we have seven years of crud in the pipes. The feces-colored film that this products gets out of your pipes will make you a believer. The first use it released so much toot film that we felt like we needed to have another round of cleaning. After losing a bet I had to stick my hand in the water to drain it. Wiping off all the released film we filled the tub again. Just turning the jets the water seemed to be clear. However before I was going to ever get into this thing I wanted to do a second round of YUK treatment. Once again in full force it appeared that someone had the squirts in tub as sludge came flowing out of the pipes. We're going to have to run this a few times before we use the tub. Remember those pink tablets that you use to get in grade school to show you all the plaque that was on your teeth..... The product is like that for you tub."Paul Southwick

Get it from Amazon for $16.99

    26. A container of mink oil that'll condition and waterproof any leather products you own — never worry about your fave handbag or boots getting worn-looking again!

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "I bought very expensive leather boots over four years ago. Of course, with time, the daily winter wear has started to take a toll...scuffing, scratches, discoloration. I bought this product because I remembered that my grandfather used to use this brand to weather-proof his leather products years ago. I'm not disappointed at all. I will most definitely stick to this product for years to come. I used leather cleaner to clean my boots and then used this mink oil (two layers) to hydrate them. They are BEAUTIFUL! They look as if I just bought them. So happy!" —Amazon Customer

    27. A Swiffer WetJet, essential for anyone who has wood floors and not a lot of available storage space but doesn't want to live like a slob.

    Amazon

I don't have a lot of storage space in my apartment, but this lovely Swiffer is so thin it can be easily stored pretty much anywhere.

Promising review: "If you have hardwood floors, get a Swiffer! We spent years sweeping and then mopping (we have a cat so the floors do not look pretty all the time) and this cuts our clean time. I love the starter kit, too, because it's a great way to test if it is for you. The pads last a pretty good amount of time, too, and the cleaning solution lasts even longer because the Swiffer uses so little. We kept our mop and broom for little things, but this is perfect if you want your floors to look shiny, dry fast, and also get done in little time!" —Leah Cameron

Get it from Amazon for $22.97.

    28. An enzyme-based spot cleaner that'll have your clothes looking like you just pulled them off the rack in a store.

    Amazon, amazon.com

You can also use it on carpets, bedding, cloth diapers, etc.

Promising review: "I feel like you won't believe what I'm about to write, because I can't believe it myself. On New Year's Eve, my husband and I had an epic fail. We dropped a glass of red wine in our bedroom, and as if it was a gymnast, the glass tumbled three times before crashing on the ground. Red wine flew all over the carpet, bedding, and my favorite pale yellow upholstered bench at the end of our bed. We stood there in shock, and then I remembered I had just bought Puracy. After spraying the better part of a bottle on various linens, our carpet, and my pale yellow bench, IT LOOKS LIKE THE EPIC WINE FAIL OF 2016 NEVER HAPPENED. It's seriously like magic. I still can't believe my eyes and really wish I took before-and-after photos. Worth every penny!!!!! It's now my go-to stain remover!!" —Amazon Customer

    29. A handheld vacuum so lightweight you'll be able to clean and dance around your living room to Hilary Duff's "Come Clean" at the same time without fear of tripping over a cord.

    Amazon

Promising review: "This is such a wonderful vacuum! The fact that it is handheld makes it very easy to store and easy to use. We have a 600-square-foot studio with all-wood floors and it doesn't take more than 10 minutes to vacuum the entire apartment. The crevice tool is incredibly useful for nooks and crannies that gather dust, and the attachable nozzle has been great for vacuuming our rug. We have a delicate faux sheepskin rug that really shouldn't be vacuumed using such a powerful tool, but with the nozzle it's much more manageable and doesn't cause too much shedding. The filter is very easy to clean, though fills up pretty quickly, so make sure to clean it more frequently than not! Very happy with this purchase — it has made cleaning the apartment so much easier!" —Sting

Get it from Amazon for $29.99.

    30. A stain remover that'll cling to rust like your dog clings to you the minute they see you packing a suitcase.

    Amazon, amazon.com

You won't believe how efficient this product is for getting rid of rust on any and all surfaces.

Promising review: "We have a VERY high iron concentration in our well water at home and it ends up slowly turning our shower, sink, and toilet a deep orange color over time. Have tried a ton of products to try to fix this issue but nothing works nearly as well as this product. Smells absolutely terrible but works AMAZING. A few spritzes of this and you can watch the orange dissolve away before your eyes. I use this formula for the sink and inside of the shower and use the powder formula for inside the toilet as that seems to work better there. As stated earlier, the smell is awful and lingers until you rinse everything down so definitely have windows open when using this product." —Samantha

Get it from Amazon for $4.98.

    31. A Clorox ToiletWand you can use and then toss — say SEE YA' to that gross toilet brush hiding in the corner of your bathroom.

    Amazon, amazon.com

I snagged the Clorox ToiletWand last Amazon Prime Day and I'm never looking back. I love that it can be easily tossed away so germs are no longer lingering on a wet, nasty brush in my bathroom. The starter kit comes with six refill heads in addition to the wand and stand.

Promising review: "Finally! Something that actually works! The idea of a reusable toilet cleaning brush is just DISGUSTING! Not to mention when your 2-year-old comes running through the house singing into it!!! AHHHH!!!! Enter the disposable toilet wand! Not only is it MUCH more hygienic than keeping and storing a brush used for scrubbing poop, but I no longer have to worry about my little ones getting into it! Whew! This stuff does a wonderful job, and is so simple and easy to use I’ve even been able to teach hubby! Wonders never cease!" —Gobius

    32. And a robot vacuum, because you deserve to have a product that cleans your home while you rewatch Tidying Up With Marie Kondo.

    Amazon, amazon.com

The future has arrived, my friends.

Promising review: "I've been in the market for a robovac for quite some time, and after a recent back surgery vacuuming manually wasn't easy. I purchased this vacuum and have been very pleased with it.
