After reading about how necessary it is to actually clean your makeup brushes (I know, I KNOW, I should’ve been doing this for years) I was super grossed out and motivated to order the right supplies to do the job. I’ve heard good things about Ecotools makeup brush cleansing shampoo so I figured I’d start there. The Amazon listing also suggested buying a silicone makeup brush cleaning pad to go with it so I figured... why not? Well, now I’m patting myself on the back because ordering these two items was a GAME-CHANGER!
I could not believe how much residue came off my brushes in just one cleaning. You only need to use a little dab of the shampoo, so one bottle will definitely last a long time. The silicone pad made it super easy to thoroughly lather the brushes without leaving my bathroom sink in shambles. I also loved how each section was labeled with which brush should be cleaned in each area. My brushes look brand new! Don’t hesitate like I did — buy both the shampoo and the mat ASAP.

Promising review: "OMG!!!! This works. I love wine, but have terrible allergies to the histamines, sulfites, and preservatives in wine. I actually use one wand for two glasses of wine. I was very skeptical, but it works like a dream! Thank you PureWine. This is really a breakthrough for me." —Penny Froh

This spray has a matte formula, meaning it won't turn your makeup into a greasy or oily mess.
Promising review: "This spray is everything! Like, oh my gosh. I notice the difference if I forget to spray this on. I've walked through the humid city of New Orleans in the middle of July and my makeup stayed on from the time I got to work and was mostly still there by the time I got home, which was nine hours later. I can't rave enough about this, and I'm very picky when it comes to makeup." —missyj95

Look at that foam go!
Promising review: "It seems counterintuitive to put a little packet down your garbage disposal to clean it, but this does actually seem to work, at least for getting out weird smells that baking soda and vinegar don't really touch. I scrub the sink down first, especially around the garbage disposal area, rinse it down, and then just follow the directions on the package. I have used it with single, large-size sinks and with double sinks — only difference is that the double sink will have blue cleaning foam rise up the drain, which you rinse away when the disposal sounds clear again. I have tried the foaming cleaner in a can, but unfortunately it stopped coming out of the can about 10% of the way through. Went back to this tried-and-true." —KS

Promising review: "This camera works so well, it’s almost a joke. An overhead light in my boat’s cabin had a severed wire. The hole to access the wire is not even 1/2” in diameter, and the gap in the ceiling is only 2” tall. Adjusted the semi rigid cable, located the severed wire, went back in with the hook attached, and voila!" —the family cook

Billie is a fantastic subscription service that lets you choose how often you need your razor refills then delivers them right to your doorstep. I recently tried my first Billie razor and, OMG, my legs have never been smoother. They seriously have a handle style for everyone — including their new "Glow" razor that, you guessed it, glows in the dark! My coworker Rachel Dunkel is also a BIG fan of Billie razors and their other products. Here's what she had to say:
"For the last five years or so, I haven't cared that much about shaving. I'd let my legs and pits grow into a (beautiful!) forest, but whenever I craved a nice, smooth shave and picked up a razor from the drugstore, I'd end up disappointed. Even with more expensive razor brands, I'd still be prickly and end up regretting ever shaving in the first place. I have never, ever had that problem with Billie. Ever since trying their razors and shave cream, I've actually *wanted* to keep up with shaving. You get a ridiculously smooth result on the first go, even if your hair is super grown out. But most importantly, it STAYS that way for way longer than with other brands. With Billie, it actually feels worth the time and money to shave, something that I could never say about any other razor."

This gadget is super practical since it'll help you cut down on razor blades in general! No need to toss out any dull razor heads, just charge this baby up and you'll be ready to go! My mom has been using this product for literally my entire life and it is the number one item she cannot live without. Seriously, just ask her about that time a PTA mom called and my sister said "she can't come to the phone right now, she's shaving."
Promising review: "My wife's skin is very sensitive. When she used a razor her skin would break out for some reason. Also, ingrown hairs would develop. She was a bit tentative using a device that pulls your hair out. To her surprise the irritation of removing the hair was was minimal, and the results were pleasing. The epilator removed the hair on her legs, and she didn't have any skin reaction or ingrown hairs." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "YESS!!! I cannot LIVE without this product. I have always had pretty bad acne and every product I’d use would result in either a breakout or just constant irritation. This product can be used with JUST WATER to get literally all of your makeup off with zero skin irritations! I use it in the AM and PM and one rag will usually last me a full seven days before needing a wash. I have about three or four of these because I cannot live without them. My acne has become a lot better by using this as opposed to cleaners and crazy products for my skin. Who knew a clean rag and water could actually do so much?!?" —Nina Aristo

Lips looked just as good at the end of the night as they did when I left the hotel. Everyone was so impressed with how clean my wineglass was with my bold red lip! Promising review: "After my husband sliced his finger on our mandolin I decided to check out these gloves. We are both very impressed with how well they work. The company who sells these is also wonderful — they sent a follow-up email to ensure that we liked the gloves and would have replaced or refunded our money if we weren't happy. The only thing I was concerned about when I ordered the gloves was if I was buying the right size. My husband and I have different hand sizes, but the medium is working well for both of us. And knowing that they would send a different size free of charge was wonderful. Now we don't have to worry about slicing off our fingers!" —That Author Guy's Wife

Promising review: "I have incredibly fine hair that's super thick and frizzy. It's kind of a nightmare. My hair is prone to monster knots. I came back from summer camp once with a mat in my hair like a dog. Other hair brushes tend to rip my hair out because of the knotty-ness and fine strands. This brush is fantastic. The only thing I don't like about it is it took me 25 years to find it. I can actually brush my hair with minimal pain and hair loss. It works like a charm and I can brush my hair quicker and more thoroughly than with any other brush I've used." —Amazon Customer

This seemingly average little cleaning pen is filled with a high-performance formula that cleans jewelry like nothing I've ever experienced. It contains micro-fine cleansers, polishing agents, and a polymer that will make your gems so shiny they'll nearly blind you. I've used it on my diamond rings, but it also works wonders on my cubic zirconia earrings.
Promising review: "The center stone of my ring (an oval white sapphire) has been cloudy since shortly after I got it. I have to use a lot of hand sanitizer at work, which gets under the stone. Promising review: "I love this apron! I’m petite and get why some similar sized people may feel it’s too big but I love the way it fits. It’s a heavier weight which makes it feel like a lot on my small frame at first but I don’t mind the extra length and feel very protected. Pot holder pockets still work length-wise for me and I have not gotten a stain or ruined my actual clothing since I got this. Maybe I’m a messier cook than most but other thinner, smaller aprons didn’t provide the same protection. It’s a bonus that it fits my tall husband too." —Caroline F.

Promising review: "I expected to be happy, but I'm thrilled! Each mat is pliable and fits the entire width of my standard oven. When the mat is against the back wall, it extends up to but not over the front lip of the floor. On first use, pizza cheese and sauce dripped onto the front edge of the mat and onto that uncovered lip. The baked-on cheese and sauce slid right off the mat! Effortlessly! After I cleaned up the lip, I layered a second mat to cover the lip. These mats are so great that I almost want food to drip on them so I can show off how wonderful they are." —Artset Outset

Promising review: "I love this shampoo. It is sulfate-free, 93% naturally derived, cruelty-free, and vegan. I have the full set of this, shampoo, conditioner, and the shampoo scrub. Normally with hair products that are strongly scented my scalp will break out this isn't the case with these. I use the shampoo scrub once a week instead of the regular shampoo. My hair is so soft and silky I would highly recommend. It does seem that when you are putting it into your hair in the shower that it would dry it out but it doesn't." —sama229

Promising review: "I am a makeup snob. I have stupidly high standards for cosmetic performance, and drugstore brands have let me down every single time I've given them a shot. So when I graduated from Covergirl to Sephora after college, I never looked back. My kit is full of Dior and YSL foundation, Armani concealer, Benefit brighteners, etc. But this thing is truly great. The sponge applicator is better than you think. Firstly, it's antimicrobial, so you don't have to worry about the hygiene aspect. Secondly, its ability to blend the product is outstanding. The concealer itself doubles as a highlighter, it looks good without primer, and it lasts so much longer than you'd expect." —Sarita

Avarelle's pimple patches are formulated with tea tree oil and calendula, which is said to heal and shrink zits overnight. A single pack comes with 40 patches in a variety of sizes to fit any pimple you've got.
Promising review: "I’ve tried so many brands of pimple spots, and these are hands-down the best on the market. I’m a performer at Walt Disney World, and a clear complexion is required. Last night, I put these on a few acne problems (a small cyst, a whitehead, and a pimple I shouldn’t have picked and has been a bump for about three weeks now.) I just woke up and am writing this review in disbelief. THEY'RE FLAT! Gone! All of them! I could cry I’m so happy. The packaging is also ideal, because it allows you to conveniently and easily peel the stickers off without stretching them out or folding them back on themselves. Do yourself and your complexion a huge favor! Have these on hand for a stubborn zit when you really need help. Make sure you apply them to completely clean and dry skin." —Caitlyn

I've worn socks to bed for years, because if I don't the sheets hardly last a week before they have holes rubbed through them. My wife ordered this thing that looks like a mini cheese grater, LOL, and after two minutes — two minutes! — of rubbing it on my heel, it's a complete 180. I never would've believed it until I tried it myself. This is well worth double what it costs." —LBK

Promising review: "I LOVE this shower curtain. I have been buying this curtain for the past six years. If you have a shower that doesn’t have a lot of ledge room for all your 'stuff,' this shower curtain will be your best friend. You can fit so many things inside the pockets! I honestly only use like four to five of the pockets. You can also use this as a liner and have another more decorative shower curtain on the outside but I personally use it as a shower curtain. I usually change it every six months because it does start getting a little soap scummy on the bottom. The best shower curtain/liner money can buy!" —DAtkins

This means the poor tub drain is getting clogged all the time, and we're spending ridiculous amounts of time trying to clear it out. I figured if this even worked to catch half of my hair then it would be worth its salt. Holy moly. When they say it catches every hair they aren't kidding. We clean it off about twice A WEEK! And when they say it's easy to clean, they are right again. A swipe with toilet paper and the hair blob comes right off. I've already told so many people about this product because I love it so much. Promising review: "I have now had the Hatch Baby Rest Night Light for about six months. We started using it when we decided to sleep train our toddler. It works perfectly and is really easy to use and set up. I really like the app; I was easily able to customize everything for when he sleeps, wakes, and his nap time. For his night light, I used a soft amber color and in the morning I have it switch to green when he should be waking up. I think he is just now starting to grasp the concept of the colors, but I can see it being a lot more helpful in the near future. I saw some reviews stating that the white noise was louder than they had wanted it to be, but I did not find that to be the case with me. You can easily control the volume of the sound and the brightness of the light with multiple colors." —Pete

Promising review: "Finished using it five minutes ago and it’s the best! My husband uses a Stanley thermos daily to take coffee to work. He tries to remember to rinse it out every day, but that doesn’t always happen. I got the package today, filled the thermos with water, dropped in a tablet, and let it sit. I promptly forgot about it for a few hours. Initially, I was disappointed when I dumped the water, as it was barely tinged brown. Then I put fresh water in, covered the top, shook it, and OMG. The crap that came out was disgusting, yet fascinating. I looked in the thermos and saw almost nothing but sparkly silver! There was a little crud left in the top third of the thermos, but it’s a really tall one, so I wasn’t surprised. Got the bottle brush, swished twice, and bam! All clean! No fumes, no smell, no nothing, just clean. I used to struggle cleaning it with baking soda, vinegar, the brush, soap, and elbow grease. Screw that. I will forever use only these tablets! Here’s to better tasting (and way less gross) coffee!" —BranchingOut

My husband is admittedly a "gadget guy" and has one of these kits for as long as I can remember. He's a big fan of the brand and loves that every set comes with a lifetime warranty.
Promising review: "Seriously, I have been repairing small electronics for decades now, over 30 dang years, and I will say this is probably the best deal and collection you can get for simple to even complicated repairs. It has a crapload of bits, but essentially everything you will need as opposed to the next larger offering, though I am still considering getting that for my dungeon downstairs. I keep this upstairs literally in the kitchen since a lot of impromptu repairs occur at the dining room table, but I have not been let down. This is top notch/quality material and manufacturing. It not only feels comfortable but is very strong and bits do not let go of screws. It has a great deal of bits too, 64 in fact. It pretty much covers all the phone and laptop screws you will encounter and even has some socket ones too. Nice touch." —Riboild

The iPhone 8 Plus is a tight squeeze but fits even in its OtterBox case. I love the hook to snap my keys on so they stay in place and I don’t have to worry about them falling out. I did not even find the need to flip the belt as my phone and keys felt secure and I wanted easier access to my phone. It fits snugly on my hip and the belt did not bounce around on my run even with my heavy phone inside. All in all super happy with this purchase. Worth every penny!" —Elise V. Ryding

I actually did buy this for my best friend when she was starting to get so stressed out about her daily migraines. It helped immensely!
Promising review: "I can't give this product enough stars! I have suffered from debilitating chronic migraines for years. Prescription medications, while effective, usually make me extremely tired and result in rebound headaches, so I rarely take them. This oil blend is especially great for the days when I have a migraine, but am unable to stay home and rest. This takes the edge off the pain enough that I am still able to go about my day and do everything I need to do. I also love the way it smells. I sometimes roll it on my wrists just to enjoy the energizing fragrance." —Lacey V

Promising review: "I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. I thought it was more of a joke when my husband got this for me for Christmas. Little did I realize it would be one of my most favorite gadgets ever! I don't know if I realized just how many things went missing in my seat gap. It has really saved a lot of things from disappearing into that black hole. It was easy enough to fit into my car and it's soft! It's just like an extension of my seat, except it fits every curve of my seat! There really isn't another product that compares to this." —Tessa Forbes

Promising review: "This hand warmer is amazing! My hands are constantly cold and I've tried all sorts of products to help keep them warm but nothing has worked until now. I charge the hand warmer every night with a standard USB charger and the next day, I have hours of warmth. The three temperature settings are very helpful — I use the highest setting when I'm outdoors for long periods of time and the lower settings when I'm indoors (e.g. sitting at my desk or in a cold movie theater). I've already given hand warmers as gifts to several cold-handed friends and family members and they're loving it as well. I hope Ocoopa comes out with a foot warmer next!" —Riva Kupritz

Promising review: "Let me start by saying this isn't my first cat eye rodeo. I've tried the taping method, normal liquid liner, plastic winged stamping devices, stencils, all of it! Well, this gem arrived and I immediately had to try it out, all while laughing at how terrible this would probably turn out...but to my surprise I put the left cat eye on first and it was perfect. I thought this was a fluke and did the right eye...again, it came out clean and perfect! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN ABLE TO DO A CAT EYE IN UNDER 10 MINUTES, LET ALONE THE TWO MINUTES THIS TOOK TO DO! There were no sloppy streaks that I had to touch up or anything you would expect. Just a clean crisp line. I can now do a cat eye EVERY day and look/feel like a badass. Everyone can think I spend hours doing my makeup in the morning." —LadyMeow

Promising review: "I have been using bleach to clean my machine for some time but decided to give this a try a few months ago. My very first clean with Affresh left me surprised and delighted, for not only did it clean my machine, it eliminated the nasty smell that always transferred to my clothes thanks to a buildup of mold I didn't even know about. Every month now, I toss a tablet into the drum and let it work its magic. Now my machine is cleaner than ever, and my clothes always smell wonderfully fresh. I highly recommend this to everyone." —Kelli Crawford

I have naturally wavy (but frizzy) hair and after trying many products this is where I've happily landed. Ouai is the first brand I recommend to my fellow wavy-haired ladies. It's light, doesn't leave your locks feeling crunchy, doesn't have an overpowering smell, and keeps hair looking fresh. My only complaint is it doesn't come in a massive-sized bottle!

Promising review: "I had bought some cling film to cover my blazingly bright clock radio, and it solved that problem. But cling film won't stick to the myriad power buttons and lights on all of your electric products, such as the lights on your laptop and mouse, your night light, your power strip, your white noise or CPAP machine. All of those shine BRIGHTLY all night long with the specific intent of keeping you awake. And cling film won't help. You need something that will adhere to those buttons. The stickers in this ingenious product are perfect. The film is such that you can still see the lit buttons, but they are well muted and will no longer keep you awake. I have some lights that were so bright, I ended up putting two stickers over them and it worked beautifully. And even as low priced as this product is, they generously supply more than enough stickers for most people's use." —lvoigt2

This alarm clock comes with 16 adjustable volume levels so you won't wake up clutching your heart and double checking that you're still breathing after being scared half to death.
Promising review: "I’ve never been a 'morning person' and alarm clocks have historically been loud and obnoxious options to waking up, so I decided to try this. Now it’s not magic, it hasn’t made me all of a sudden cheerful in the morning but it’s a much more calming alternative. Other than the obvious reasons for trying this kind of clock, this particular one has many awesome settings! It has multiple different levels of lights, along with different colors of lights. It has an alarm function and a clock function. It can also double as a sound machine that you can play soothing sounds at night. When using the alarm function the sunrise comes on 10 minutes before the alarm goes off. You can also plug your phone into it for charging. I love the versatility of this alarm clock and the instructions are. Very easy to follow. You should get it." —JRRinBoston

BuzzFeed editor Rachel Dunkel has personally tested out this lil' gadget:
"I love to camp and am planning a backpacking trip, and was desperately in need of a reliable, bright headlamp. I love this one from BioLite! It sits flush against your forehead to provide the most comfort and least slippage possible. It's moisture-wicking to combat sweat, is rechargeable, has multiple brightness levels, and can be adjusted to face downward if you need to see ahead of you on a trail (the BEST feature!). I'm really looking forward to using it more on future outdoor trips, but honestly currently use it on occasion in my New York apartment to read at night since I'm apparently too lazy to go out and buy a reading lamp."

Promising review: "I got waxed down there for five years straight and the lady that did it used this stuff afterwards. It work so well I went out and bought some. Ever since then I haven't had one ingrown hair (in six years). I recommend it highly and I'll never use anything else. It really is a miracle solution. Now I just keep it in the shower with me and dab a little on after every shave. Highly recommended for any type of skin." —Tennessee Fresh
