2. An electric toothbrush with a subscription-based brush head refill, so your dad will never have to remember to buy another toothbrush or brush head again. Now THAT is something to smile about.

quip / Via, quip / Via

Does your parent boast about being a minimalist? Or maybe they just have ZERO counter space? Then the Quip might just be the toothbrush of their dreams. It has a three-month battery life, comes with a wall mount and travel case, and is super quiet during use. I own one myself (as do my mom, mother-in-law, and father-in-law) and love how it encourages me to brush thoroughly.

Promising review: "I truly love this toothbrush, feels great when done. Like the fact that it tells you when to move to the next quadrant. People in general do not take the two minutes to brush their teeth, much less concentrate on each quadrant and change the brush every three months. Anyway, I love it and will recommend it." —Maria S.

Get it from Quip for $40+ (available in eight colors and a variety of subscription plans).

Promising review: "I have been using the seat pillow for two weeks now, and it has done what it advertises. It has reduced pain, held up up well, and maintained it’s shape. Given I am not sitting on it all day, which may impact the wear and tear, it still has provided an increase in support and comfort, and has help reduce my dull sciatica pain when having to sit for extended periods of time." —Icarus Rising

Get it from Amazon for $39.95 (available in five colors).

4. A shower curtain complete with pockets they can use to upgrade their bathroom's storage space without doing something wild like installing a new vanity or cabinets.

a clear shower curtain with pockets in it

Promising review: "I LOVE this shower curtain. I have been buying this curtain for the past 6 years. If you have a shower that doesn’t have a lot of ledge room for all your 'stuff,' this shower curtain will be your best friend. You can fit so many things inside the pockets! I honestly only use like four or five of the pockets. You can also use this as a liner and have another more decorative shower curtain on the outside but I personally use it as a shower curtain. I usually change it every six months because it does start getting a little soap scummy on the bottom. The best shower curtain/liner money can buy!" —DAtkins

Get it from Amazon for $18.67.

5. An ever-popular Instant Pot with so many uses they'll need to take a deep breath before deciding what to make with it first., Amazon

Promising review: "Of all of the purchases that I've ever made to add to my kitchen's efficiency and fun, this is the one thing I could not do without. I ordered it after making a decision to cook with fresh ingredients in order to make my meals healthier. It took me awhile to gather data from online forums and various cookbooks and 'how to' resources before I actually opened the box and began my discovery journey. It's been a delicious one, indeed, not to mention how much time I am saving in the process." —Darlene

Get it from Amazon for $49.99+ (available in 3-, 6-, and 8-quarts).

6. A microfiber duvet cover set so you can switch up their bedroom's color scheme without overwhelming them with *too much* change at once.

Promising review: "I suffer from night sweats and our other duvet cover was too heavy and hot for the rising spring temperatures. I hate leaving our down comforter 'naked' though, so I wanted something super lightweight to cover it with. This works great! It's very light, attractive, and easy to put on. It's soft and inviting — it's hard to walk past the bed without flopping down on it for a quick snuggle." —Dracollo

Get it from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in twin, twin XL, full/queen, and king sizing, and 19 styles).

I have one of these bad boys and they even take off Kylie Lip Kits — a true feat.

Promising review: "YESS!!! I cannot LIVE without this product. I have always had pretty bad acne and every product I’d use would result in either a breakout or just constant irritation. This product can be used with JUST WATER to get literally all of your makeup off with zero skin irritations! I use it in the a.m. and p.m. and one rag will usually last me a full seven days before needing a wash. I have about three or four of these because I cannot live without them. My acne has become a lot better by using this as opposed to cleaners and crazy products for my skin. Who knew a clean rag and water could actually do so much?!?" —Nina Aristo

Get it from Amazon for $14 (available in a variety of styles).

Psst! This won for the mid-priced best makeup remover on BuzzFeed Reviews, too!

10. A subscription to Atlas Coffee Club to bring aromatic, fresh beans from all over the world right to their front door.

Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed, atlascoffeeclub / Via

My fellow BuzzFeed editor Kayla Suazo tried out Atlas Coffee Club and only had good things to say:

"My first observation after opening the box was the smell. It smells FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC. It also comes with sweet postcards from the cities where the batches are from, so the entire experience feels so lovely and personal. As for the coffee itself, it's heavenly. I am used to store-bought coffee — which yes, is fine — but both of these tasted incredibly fresh and different from each other. The Peruvian coffee has this dark, almost chocolate taste to it, so I imagine it would be delicious with a morning sweet treat (maybe I should start eating pie every day?). The Colombian batch, on the other hand, was a little lighter roast-wise but still had delicious notes of rich sweetness. TL;DR: both of them were incredible both in taste and quality."

11. A faux fur throw blanket, so soft you'll want to buy two of so Mom and Dad don't have to fight over it.

Promising review: "I bought this kinda on a whim. I love fuzzy blankets and have a hard time finding one that is soft, big enough, warm enough, has the right weight, and doesn't cost a fortune. This one fit the bill. It is my new favorite blanket (I have a small collection. It easily covers both my husband and me on our couch with room for the cat to cuddle up in the middle. It's warm but not warm enough to make you start sweating. It's heavy enough but you also don't feel like you have 50 lbs of blanket sitting on you." —vafalla

Get it from Amazon for $29.99+ (available in two styles and three colors)

12. Or a hand-woven blanket complete with fringe detailing you can use to cover up the wine stain you somehow managed to get on their couch during Thanksgiving. All anyone will want to know is where they found such a fabulous throw.

a customer's photo of the woven blanket in grey and white with mustard yellow accents

Promising review: "I absolutely adore this throw. I read through the comments about it being rough; it's not meant to be cashmere and I don't find it rough in the least. It's soft as it should be based on the thread used. The tassels are not loose threads. I like the look and the unfinished metallic mustard thread adds character. It's a beautiful pattern and the throw works perfectly with my sofa. I can't wait to read my book and cuddle with it." —K. Gabriel

Get it from Amazon for $51.96 (available in four styles).

13. Ugg's classic ultra mini bootie to keep their feet feeling pampered all day long — they deserve it!

Heather Braga / BuzzFeed, ugg / Via

I recently got these Ugg minis and have been wearing them as my "work shoes" now that I WFH full time. They're the perfect mix between a slipper and an actual shoe, so I can continue to wear my comfiest clothes to "the office" (my kitchen table) but also feel like I've somewhat transitioned into work mode for the day. They're super soft, as all Uggs are, and honestly just make me happy! They are true-to-size so no worries about sizing up or down.

Promising review: "These are the first pair of Uggs I have ever purchased, and they do not disappoint! I am short (5'0") so the taller classic Uggs have always felt a little awkward or bulky for me. The ultra mini is just what I've been looking for, and I've been wearing them daily (even though it's still hot out). I'm considering a second purchase! Definitely worth every penny!" —Lexi T.

Get them from Zappos for $139.95 (available in sizes 5–12 and four colors).

14. A rapid egg cooker that'll make their breakfast faster than they can say, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

Where has this been all my life!??!?" —rebecca

Get it from Amazon for $23.99+ (available in five colors).

15. A cleaning pen to help your jewelry-obsessed parent keep their gems sparkling.,

This seemingly average little cleaning pen is filled with a high-performance formula that cleans jewelry like nothing I've ever experienced. It contains micro-fine cleansers, polishing agents, and a polymer that will make your gems so shiny they'll nearly blind you. I've used it on my diamond rings, but it also works wonders on my cubic zirconia earrings. Check out my full review of the Connoisseurs 1050 Diamond Dazzle Stick.

Promising review: "My life has changed since I discovered this. I was previously using a toothbrush and found that it just wasn't getting all the gunk underneath my diamond. I have no idea what kind of magic is in this cleaning stick but my ring looks brand-new after cleaning. The bristles are soft and firm at the same time, allowing you to get all around the prongs and underneath the stone." —Ay

Get it from Amazon for $10.

16. A dynamic sneaker they likely wore in the '90s and will be overwhelmed with nostalgia about adding them to their shoe collection once again.

17. A Yeti cooler for your parents who love to take road trips and splurge on a ton of local food items but never have enough room to store them in the car.

the big cooler in a sage green on the ground next to two rugged men's legs

Promising review: "Got this cooler to use as a backup to the small dorm room fridge we have at our cottage. This cooler has exceeded our expectations. We keep the cooler filled with ice on our porch, the ice stays for days at a time. It does help to 'cool' the cooler down prior to packing it with ice. I throw a couple of frozen milk jugs in it before filling it. However, once you do expect to get days out of the ice you fill it with." —Daniel2017

Get it from Cabela's for $299.99 (available in three colors).

18. LED strip lights for the back of their TV or computer monitor that'll add some extra mood lighting to any room and are said to help prevent eyestrain. Go ahead, watch Netflix for days on end without concern.,

You can choose from 16 colors and brightness adjustment levels.

Promising review: "I purchased these to back light my computer monitors and they work great. Very easy to apply (peel and stick) and easy to configure. Sixteen different colors, including white, can be selected via the remote control plus dimming. I think that background lighting can be more useful for computer monitors since you sit so much closer to them than your television. Also, the light given off by your monitor tends to be harsher since you are often viewing documents or other scenes with a white background. I'm thinking of purchasing longer strips of these lights to use as under cabinet kitchen lighting or even to illuminate the toe-kick area. You could set different moods by adjusting the intensity and color." —GMak

Get them from Amazon for $13.99.

19. An oversized Madewell tote your mom will absolutely love because it isn't "over-the-top" and will have room for ALL of her random necessities — yes, even that spare packet of tissues and a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon from 2009.

I've gotten one of these as a gift and have given one to my sister as well. It's my favorite bag to date! It has a small pocket inside you can pop your phone into (or anything else you'd be looking to grab in a hurry) and has so much space. I've even fit my laptop into it! The straps are sturdy and I love that this version also has a chic suede stripe down the middle. The best part? You can add your mom's initials for an extra special touch.

My colleague Rachel Dunkel also has and loves this bag — you can read how she feels about it (and check out some other BuzzFeed fave's from Madewell) here!

20. An apron with built-in oven mitts and a sewn-in conversion chart that'll protect their clothes while they whip up your favorite meals whenever you visit.

Promising review: "I love this apron! I’m a petite 5’3” and get why some similar-sized people may feel it’s too big but I love the way it fits. It’s a heavier weight which makes it feel like a lot on my small frame at first but I don’t mind the extra length and feel very protected. Pot holder pockets still work length-wise for me and I have not gotten a stain or ruined my actual clothing since I got this. Maybe I’m a messier cook than most but other thinner, smaller aprons didn’t provide the same protection. It’s a bonus that it fits my tall husband too." —Caroline F.

Get it from Food52 for $45 (available in one size and six colors).

Promising review: "I've been using one of these for popcorn storage for years now and recently have bought several sets in different sizes to organize my pantry and countertops. I love how closely together they fit so that I can use every bit of space. The lids fit tightly and are interchangeable between units of the same size. The large ones come with scoops that snap onto the underside of the lid. I've got these in four sizes and I love them all!" —Marilyn WK

the mat in the bottom of an oven with apple pie drippings on it

Promising review: "I expected to be happy, but I'm thrilled! Each mat is pliable and fits the entire width of my standard oven. When the mat is against the back wall, it extends up to but not over the front lip of the floor. On first use, pizza cheese and sauce dripped onto the front edge of the mat and onto that uncovered lip. The baked-on cheese and sauce slid right off the mat! Effortlessly! After I cleaned up the lip, I layered a second mat to cover the lip. These mats are so great that I almost want food to drip on them so I can show off how wonderful they are." —Artset Outset

No longer — Gracula is there for her. She uses him nearly every time she needs garlic (which is basically daily) and months later still makes a point of saying how much she enjoys the gift. I'm pretty sure she likes it better than other gifts I've gotten her which were more expensive/thought out, and I'm fairly certain it's what took me from 'good friend' to 'best friend,' but it be that way sometimes. Anyway, definitely recommended for people who cook with garlic and have a sense of humor." —L

However, I've introduced Poo-Pourri into our home and it's made a huge difference. You only need one or two sprays directly into your toilet before you *do your business* for it to cover up any unpleasant smells. My husband even walked into the bathroom recently and said "it smells so good in here" and I promptly said "AHA! IT'S THE POO-POURRI!" He said "ew" and walked away — but it is proof it really works!

42. Cut resistant gloves — a must-have for any parent who isn't super confident in their knife skills and would like to keep all of their digits.

You can even pop these in the washing machine for a thorough cleaning.

Promising review: "After my husband sliced his finger on our mandolin I decided to check out these gloves. We are both very impressed with how well they work. The company who sells these is also wonderful — they sent a follow-up email to ensure that we liked the gloves and would have replaced or refunded our money if we weren't happy. The only thing I was concerned about when I ordered the gloves was if I was buying the right size. My husband and I have different hand sizes, but the medium is working well for both of us. And knowing that they would send a different size free of charge was wonderful. Now we don't have to worry about slicing off our fingers!" —That Author Guy's Wife

43. Velvet hangers that may seem like a boring gift but'll transform their closet from one that says "hot mess" to "oh yes."

Promising review: "Love how little space these take up. My closet is pretty small so getting these types of hangers was a must. Clothes don’t slip from the hangers which is nice because with the plastic ones, my tank tops and dresses would always fall off. You can even hang pants too. " —Amazonian

Promising review: "I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. I thought it was more of a joke when my husband got this for me for Christmas. Little did I realize it would be one of my most favorite gadgets ever! I don't know if I realized just how many things went missing in my seat gap. It has really saved a lot of things from disappearing into that black hole. It was easy enough to fit into my car and it's soft! It's just like an extension of my seat, except it fits every curve of my seat! There really isn't another product that compares to this. " —Tessa Forbes

Promising review: "I bought this for my puppy hoping he would sleep in his own bed. At first he wasn't too sure about it, but now I can't keep him out of it. It's durable, soft, comfortable and machine-washable, and best of all my little boy is off my husband's and my bed and into his own." —weegi

47. A stainless-steel ring that doubles as a fidget spinner that'll help keep your parent calm, cool, and collected in stressful times.

Promising review: "I've had this ring for about two weeks now and just had to write a review. I've had the nervous/bored habit of picking at my fingers since I was a kid. I can't remember the last time I've not had at least one nail bed torn up and bloody. For people with similar habits, I can't recommend this ring enough. It's a great, non-distracting way to redirect fidgety behaviors. I've worn it every day since receiving it and for the first time in years I have intact nail beds! Every time I catch myself starting to pick at a dry patch of skin or uneven cuticle on my finger, I rotate the ring a few times and the impulse disappears." —KGL

the wooden foot rest with multiple rollers under each foot

Promising review: "I’ve been having so many issues with my feet the last few years. My feet hurt so bad, it’s made me become a hermit. I’ve had tendinitis in both and now plantar fasciitis. I get foot cramps all the time. After just one day with this under my desk at work, I feel a huge difference. My feet no longer feel tight and painful. They feel tingly — in a good way. I look forward to being able to go for a walk and not have to rest along the way. I know it’s meant for feet but I may try it out on my calves. I also love that it’s small, looks nice and doesn’t slide around. I highly recommended this for anyone, foot issues or not, if you sit a lot. Nice way to keep the blood flowing when stuck at a desk." —Vanessa Thomas

49. A supportive bath pillow, a must-have for anyone who desperately needs to soak the stress of their day away.

the squishy white back pillow in a tub

Promising review: "My husband bought this for me because I LOVE taking baths; it's a nice way to relax and unwind after a long day, but I've recently had some health problems which has caused me to lose a lot of weight and taking baths has become excruciating. Due to the lack of extra cushion back there now, lying back on the porcelain tub was extremely painful on my spine/bones, and I had resigned to the fact that I wouldn't be taking baths anymore. But, GOOD NEWS, this pillow is a dream come true. I wish I had always had this pillow. It's soooo comfortable! I could almost nap in the tub (but don't!)." —Amazon Customer

50. A collapsible Stojo cup they can use to bring their fave hot beverage on their errands then simply squish it down and pop it into their bag without a worry it won't be able to fit.

I have one of these cool cups and have been really impressed with it. I recently used it early one morning when I was craving a cup of hot tea but had to run some errands. It pops open really easily, feels very durable, and keeps my drink hot.

Promising review: "Love this cup. I was originally turned off to it due to the size of the top section, however it's not as big as it looks online and it's the perfect size. It will fit most purses but not likely women's pant pockets. After filling it with water I shook the cup and there was no leaking. Even after I finished my latte and collapsed the cup there was no residue leakage at all. The cup didn't get excessively hot either. The cup also had mL markers on the inside which is wonderful. I highly recommend this product!" —HR
